At least all those vulnerable and highly vulnerable are being encouraged to get back to work and normality today. Cant be too much going on otherwise they would still be encouraged to shield. Might go to the beach!

Everyone is clear now what they should be doing but most choose to ignore the advice. People are being dicks and when it all kicks off again they’ll blame the government.
We all have to do the right thing and take personal responsibility and stop with excuses and blame.

I can go to the pub and be near complete and random strangers but cant meet my own brothers and their kids at theirs/my house. Perfect sense

I'm not being funny but they are anything but clear. Could you help us simple northern folk out and explain what we can and cant do. The health minister attempted it on friday and had to be corrected.

Is everyone clear, though? We're being told to 'staycation' aren't we? For most people that would include a trip to the beach, but those doing this seem to engender outrage from some on here. There was much more social distancing on Margate beach on Thursday than there is in my local Aldi on any given day.

They chose to inform people of a lockdown via Twitter at 9:30pm. They’ll get blamed if it goes tits up again because they’ve proven to be inept, corrupt hypocrites who haven’t delivered most of their grand world-beating promises and we have the highest excess death rate in the continent as a result despite a massive time advantage over mainland Europe that the PM chose to see as an economic opportunity thus pissing that time away.

But yeah some poor ****s choosing to get a bit of sunshine in Brighton when they’re explicitly told to “staycation” (that’s not what a staycation is but whatever) are the problem.

Exactly. Now they can blame everyone barring themselves, including those bloody foreign countries that people were allowed to fly to!

People who have been calling for a less draconian lockdown throughout now demanding we all follow the ever-changing rules to the letter just as dem muzlimz are in the spotlight a bit.

I think my mood turned sour when I read that an ex KGB agent is to become a member of the house of lords. I suppose this is what people voted for so I shouldn't grumble too much.

Corbyn was a Czech spy and would have made us Venezuela though so we got off lightly.

From todays briefing at Holyrood...

Nicola Sturgeon said there were 30 new cases of coronavirus in today's daily numbers.

This was the first time there had been this many cases in a day for almost eight weeks.

Ms Sturgeon said this showed the success in fighting the virus was fragile but she wanted to put it into context.

The last time there were 30 new cases it was from 5,000 tests. Yesterday they conducted 15,000 tests.

Today's new cases represent less than 1% of those tested and were spread over nine health board areas.

Ms Sturgeon said the virus was under control but people needed to take care.

Precisely - more tests equals more positives. This is exactly the kind of contextual information that we're not getting from Number 10.
