I didn’t go to the mosque mate

the Eid prayer was on but since covid seems to have spiked in and around Yorkshire, especially amongst the Ethnic minority plus the carelessness of some people in the community(Attending mass gatherings throughout the lockdown, wedding etc), I’ve weighed it up.

 

I have been giving the Mosque a miss since this whole thing started. They have opened up again here now and are trying to social distance (bring your own prayer-mat etc) but its hard to keep them to stay separated during the prayers.

Eid prayers today were all outside but its very pleasant at 6.30am here - probably not an option in Huddersfield.

 

I’m glad you, like me, see the dreadful inconsistencies in this entire shambles.

Today has been a scorcher here so maybe with better organisation, outdoor could have been a possibility.
