You think poch would've finished 6th or better...or worse? Had he stayed on.

Mornin btw

Worse mate.

Players had downed tools under Poch, Alderweireld being the biggest culprit but he weren't alone. I think Poch himself just got burned out as well, he weren't helped by Levy either but everyone could see our squad massively declined since 2017 and little was done to rectify it, so I reckon he just thought "**** sake" towards the end.

I wouldn't go as far as Spurly to say Jose's been 'great' but I definitely think he's been good. He's messed up in a few games with his tactics/ selection as well as crashing out the FA Cup to Norwich at home but in general he's done well since coming in with regards to picking up a solid amount of points. His style of football isn't pretty but it seems to have substance and hopefully with more of his own players we'll improve.

You have to remember he messed up with a team he’s just getting familiar with...Poch was messing up with his own players he had built up for 5 years.

For sure but Jose's being paid a small fortune to do significantly better with those very players. He wouldn't have been hired midway through the season, nor given the second highest managerial contract in the league, if it was believed he couldn't do better/ achieve the set targets.

The aim was to get into the top four, he got top six. He's done a good job, I'm pretty happy with him especially as most of us wrote the season off but he's had his mistakes and that can't be ignored.

Of course there is room for improvement but I won’t vilify any manager that isn’t backed sufficiently by the owners...then it’s likely them mistakes will repeat.

Jose can’t turn turd into Gold...we both know he needs the backing

we both know Levy will stink the place out too.

Jose is like a Sith Lord who has turned up with his darkness to balance the force...some man not ready for it...they would rather be tickling R2D2’s belly getting little giggly happy noises out of him like all is fine.

I like this. <cheers>

They seem to have a lot of respect for each other, I only ever hated on fergie for obvious reasons, youd be bat **** crazy not to respect what he's done in football, obviously one of the best managers ever to grace the game.

A bit of bantz between the two. Klopp for calling him at 3 in the morning and Fergie laughing about it on camera after. There's definitely a bit of admiration/liking for each other.

Now compare that with Rafa. Fergie in the same way phoned him up when he first arrived to share a glass (probably a bottle knowing Fergie). Rafa turned his nose up and made a point of ridiculing him over it. You know at that point what an utter small-minded prick that slimy **** was... and so did Fergie. Marked his card.

I don't think anyone can help but like or at the very least respect Klopp. I don't mind admitting I wish we'd gone in for him when we had the chance. History is made on such pivotal decisions and no doubt his success at LFC won't end with this season. Although I'll take every opportunity to hope/pretend it will. See you on the Liverpool Spiral thread <whistle>

If you think about it, such hatred has many parallels with rascism - it is completely irrational, based on surface differences and pre-conceptions and does not take into account the character of individuals within the group that the hatred is directed at - instead making negative generalisations about that group as a whole.

It goes way beyond sporting rivalry.

Quite pathetic in this day and age.
They're both really a kind of tribalism when it comes down to it:

At Spurs any manager who plays boring ****in tippy tappy resultless triangles deserves a whole project wether that is 3/4/5 years.

A serial winner like Jose is expected to turn the former managers depleting squad into winners having started his job in 14th position a third the way through the season or he’s getting judged because we don’t like the gruelling pain required to go through a re build...we think we can squeeze every last drop out of our special squad and whenever it goes wrong it’s Jose’s fault and his football style.

Spurs fans had already formed an opinion on our new manager based on what fans of other clubs think.

He destroys clubs, doesn’t give youth a chance blah blah blah....the guy has been great for us since he joined.
New manager...what you on about bitch?
You get with someone 8 months ago, do you call them you new girlfriend?

So one of the City emails was from 2010 before the break even rules even came into place. What the **** were Uefa doing?

Establishing a history of lies and fraudulent accounting that continued until the day Man City adopted a policy of refusing to cooperate?
