claiming you don't need Zaha cos you got Pepe is like claiming we had a good season cos we finished above you turds
Against us, Villa and the last 50 minutes v Watford there was no sign of that. For all the "dominance" against us you had 2 shots on target with 9 against and your keeper was your motm according to most gooners. Against Villa you had no attempts on target. Liverpool were in sleep mode and as for City, even we beat them 2-0 under Jose. We are both ****e and without investment are in for another long horrible season. The FA Cup will be a saviour as a trophy is fantastic but in truth it'll just paper over the cracks.
I appreciate he’s no Bergwijn but still think he’d be a welcome addition once Mourinho has coached the flair out of him.
We do have rivalries and the depth of each depends on what part of Leicester you come from. Central Leicester (the city itself) is probably Forest most and certainly so from Melton and Loughborough. Ashby and Coalville it's Derby Hinckley, Burbage and Nuneaton undeniably Coventry. ... but it really should dissipate when you get to a certain age. My best mate is from Cov - met when put in a taxi together at Faro airport with him and his mate and one of my cousins in our early 20s. Probably helped my realisation that not everyone from Cov is a fat ****er who shags their Ma
Your last point is spot on ... it's only a few sad old ball sacks who take it to extremes and can never let it go ...
Leicester fans are split on Rodgers, and not just because of our poor end of season run ... quite a few felt he was a bit of a show pony when his arrival was being announced. Personally, I think any manager needs at least 2 seasons to put his own stamp on things ... so happy for him to have the next one ... have had some issues with his tactics and team selections it's fair to say ...
At Spurs any manager who plays boring ****in tippy tappy resultless triangles deserves a whole project wether that is 3/4/5 years. A serial winner like Jose is expected to turn the former managers depleting squad into winners having started his job in 14th position a third the way through the season or he’s getting judged because we don’t like the gruelling pain required to go through a re build...we think we can squeeze every last drop out of our special squad and whenever it goes wrong it’s Jose’s fault and his football style. Spurs fans had already formed an opinion on our new manager based on what fans of other clubs think. He destroys clubs, doesn’t give youth a chance blah blah blah....the guy has been great for us since he joined.
he’s been here 8 months disrupted with a 3 month lay off and got us from 14th to 6th, key players missing for up to 6 months, got us focused and back in Europe when it looked like it wasn’t happening. I could go on but you tell me why he hasn’t been ‘great’ for us? when you’re sick of the last thing then the new thing feels great..the change was necessary so I’ve been feeling great since Jose came...the blips are to be expected in his first season
mornin bru I saw nothing to suggest Poch was going to do anything. Apart from the CL run which was a bit Roy of the Rovers...we had been dogshit for almost a year, scraping top 4 last season, just. The squad needed improving, Levy ****ed off trying to sell tickets to an Adele gig instead and the players that Poch made into household names stopped responding to him. We were getting walloped to Colchester, getting hammered in europe..embarrassing results and Poch had become like a victim of domestic abuse from the sounds of his press conferences. why would I have confidence that he was going to turn it around? When you see someone for 5 years week in week out you can tell when his fire has gone aswell. change was necessary...Spurs fans(Generally speaking) can’t handle winners like Jose...they love nearly men because we are a nearly club and it’s become part of the DNA. Jose is like a Sith Lord who has turned up with his darkness to balance the force...some man not ready for it...they would rather be tickling R2D2’s belly getting little giggly happy noises out of him like all is fine.
