He showed the same arrogance and disdain for the fans as Ehab. it would have been so easy to throw a few sentences together saying how devastated and sorry they are and acknowledge the fans‘ pain. He couldn’t even do that and just got defensive as usual. He claimed to have another 20+ years ahead of him in his career, so he’s just looking at this like a job, not acknowledging what clubs mean to fans and the community. Look at what Holloway is doing at Blundell Park. Signs up In Cleethorpes and Grimsby for “Ollies Army”. Committing to the area and getting the fans on side as he knows that they’re the life blood of lower league clubs. and I’m sorry Mr Bielby, you read the room wrong tonight, not the time for that speech.
Disagree with that last bit. We desperately need some hope right now. Interested to hear what HCST plan is.
I’ll hear him ina few days. Not ready right now. usually agree with Geoff 100%, am an HCST member. Let’s grieve the relegation first though, eh?
This is spot on. The most upsetting and weird part of all this is that the club and McCann seem to be refusing to even acknowledge that being relegated is bad. The response is as if we've just lost a tight game. We've not only been relegated, but we've dropped to such a level that being swatted aside 3-0 represents one of our better recent performances and one that people aren't even particularly disappointed by. We've been relegated by 5 points and finished bottom. But McCann calls it an opportunity, gets mad at any pressing question he's asked and tries to pacify us by saying we're a small club anyway. He's mental.
He's Ehabs bitch. Why would I take him seriously? Though he once held my respect, his credibility departed long ago. Just like the Allams, no point in sanitised speeches to the 'supporters' anymore. The imagined ones they think they still have have just left. Like the rest of us who still have any self respect.
He's saying the only thing he can. He's Eyoors mouthpiece The plan is to cozy up to Allam in the hope it makes his role somehow more significant. The truth however is there's no point in being all important chairman of a supporters club when there's no ****ing supporters left. He's as deluded as Ehab and McCann.
He's saying the only thing he can. He's Eyoors mouthpiece Time now is for total and complete mutiny as far as I can see. Why prolong the agony!?
Of course we all know McCann is saying the right things to protect his contract. With a 5% win ratio this year he probably can't believe he's still in a job. Neither can anyone else. It's the gall of the man making out he's planning for next year that gets me. A few years ago Gordon Strachan resigned as Middlesbrough manager because, according to him, he was useless. Strachan won only 13 of his 46 games in charge. "He offered his resignation but not only that - in doing so he tore up his contract," Boro chairman Steve Gibson told BBC Tees. "He sought no compensation and walked away from the club with empty hands and it's a measure of the man." I can't see McCann doing the same thing for one minute, although I wish he would. In what other profession would failure be so highly rewarded? Despite his comments I expect him to be heading down the yellow brick road shortly.
They need to be getting the FA to investigate these ****s! Surely purposely getting relegated is against the rules?
