If you get ahead say to the byline and play the ball back you can’t be offside. Poveda came back from an offside position that’s why it got ruled out.

I think where you may be getting confused WJ, is that a player can't be offside if level with the ball when the pass is made, thus you have interpreted that as you can't be offside from a square ball, discounting the fact that regarding the players position who receives the pass.

I believe your interpretation would have been correct prior to 1863, as that was when the offside law was introduced :emoticon-0102-bigsm but in all seriousness I can't remember when the law was changed to allow players being level with the ball, as the offside law changes every other season these days.

Our pissed up reserves went to Derby, got a guard of honour, played triangles around them, they had the bollocks to score against us so we just stepped up through the gears and put them in their place.

And now they are taking the piss at the end on their home turf!

With seven changes that was stunning. We pissed all over them. Think Radz was saying “how much do you want” to Bielsa as he followed him down the tunnel <laugh>
