PARENTS- today i had a child protection police officer visit my home regarding my 13yr old daughter. On st. helens road swansea there is supposedly a shish bar open for customers, considering you have to be 18yrs and over to be in one of these places was told the majority of customers were all young girls all under the age of 15. This place was a door next to a kebab shop where you are buzzed in with no means of getting out unless they buzz you out it isn’t a shop it is a dodgy, unsafe place especially for youngsters my daughter was lucky when she went their with friends after being told that all the men there give you free drinks and that the police were already there and took my daughters details. The police actually contacted my wife straight away to tell her about this place but the following morning this police officer turned up on our door regarding this matter and to question our daughter, they asked how she heard of this place, how many times had she been their, did the men say or do anything inappropriate. Basically they are trying to groom girls there lucky for me my daughter has never been their before and extra lucky the police were already there other wise i dread to think what could of happen to her.So parents explain the consequences of their actions regarding this matter my daughter was told by the police officer to read up on the 3 rotherham girls that made headlines a few years ago and asked if she wanted to end up like that. I feel sick to my stomach with worry this is on our doorstep so be vigilant to stop these vile gangs from what they are doing.

Perhaps people shouldn't be so coy , and name names ?

Without knowing exactly what he has supposed to have said, its hard to form an opinion really. On the face of it it sounds ridiculous, but if it was a Muslim guy who said he’s gonna come round and rape your sister would that be acceptable ‘free speech’ ?
I would hope that if it was that serious the guy in the video would have been taken away anyway rather than asking him to voluntarily come for an interview, but my point that I don’t know what was said still stands, and until we can all see what it was we shouldn’t be jumping to conclusions.
Some can see this as ‘thought police’, from another angle it looks like the Police being proactive.
I don’t want to be like America where they take free speech as being “I can say whatever I want without consequence - I woke up in a free country this morning”. Free speech and hate speech are not the same things.

I love it when people don't do any fact checking on Twitter.
Thunberg is 17 and Shemima Begum is 21.
They may have been 15 when their **** kicked off, but the tweet makes it sound as if they are both 15 year olds now.

Strange that begum was happy to witness death and destruction of others without remorse and now we have to witness her return and show compassion ,if there is any justice I hope the rest of her life is a short and miserable existence. I knew at 15 exactly what I wanted to do and that was an age of innocence with no instant communication and video clips

It wasn't that serious then. And if it's not that serious then is this a reasonable use of Police time? See my next comment...

They do appear very proactive where social media is concerned. When our front door was smashed in, in the middle of the night, the police couldn't spare any time for anyone to investigate and asked me to interview the neighbours. Yes, that's correct. Now if I'd just thought to post online how I could "kill whoever did it", then I would have had two officers attend immediately! <doh>

In principle I agree. The problem is, where do you draw the line? Once you start censoring then there's no going back and as we are now seeing here, the slightest offence to anyone is now becoming "hate speech".
