As ive just posted on another thread the offence took place in Yarm I believe in the early hours of the morning. This to me screams underage prostitution as the town has a massive problem with it (He may not have been aware of her age so no **** jibes from the mags please). This would potentially also give some insight as to where the drugs in question came from.

He is still a dumb arse even if my theory is correct but I think we should give the guy a bit of lee-way until we know the full facts.

No smoke without fire...

I just can't believe that ****us would continue raping people after he was bailed before and considering the fact that his brother is doing time now for....rape.

Runs in the family I guess.

The word rape has never been mentioned by anyone other than mags who are desperate to see a sunderland player shot down in flames as they try to save face over the Barton fiasco.

If it is proven that he is guilty then any punishment he recieves im sure is justified and he will never play a competitive football match again. I simply cannot comprehend how some human beings (I know you are mags but your still human) can find a situation regarding a sexual assault amusing and basically take the piss. Imagine it was your wife/partner/mother/daughter who was the victim here or even your brother/father/best mate who was the defendant.

Sexual assault covers quite a wide spectrum actually including having sex with a minor which would back up my original theory. Im not saying this makes it better but if it was rape the police would have stated rape.

I wasnt solely having a go at you when I said some on here were getting a kick out of the situation but some blatantly are and there have been several responses on this thread basically taking the piss.
 
There are I think 3 aspects to this matter. Firstly, as I understand it Titus Bramble has been arrested on two matters, one of sexual assault and possession of class A drugs. The latest I have heard is that he has been released on bail. On this the police are conducting investigations into the matter, and the possibility of action will result as a consequence of these. Any person is, as far as I am aware, innocent until found guilty.

Secondly, the potential impact that the arrest will have on SAFC. I cannot foresee any possibility of him playing on Saturday, which will certainly impact the make up of the back 4. Given that McBardo is out for Saturday and the Gooners, this leaves us rather short at the back and unless Tina is fully up to speed, O'Shea will have to move to CB along with Brown and Elmo into the RB slot. I do not fancy a defence with Elmo and KR at R & LB respectively.

Lastly, I am truly amazed at the majority of NUFC posters "giving it large" over the situation (there are one or two honourable exceptions who have deprecated such comments) which is most suprising, given that they were advocates of THEIR club not dispensing with people who HAVE criminal convictions. I was going to remark that their dictionaries must have the the page with all words beginning with HYPOC.... missing, but I realise that such adolescents would neither own, nor know what a dictionary is, they are puerile.

Alright , just looked it up and it's not the same , excuse me for that one , however rape is a part of sexual assault. Both terms sound disgusting though.

Anyhow , I doubt Bramble was bailed just for slapping a lasses arse though and this isn't the first time something like this has occurred.

Skysports.com have described last year's incident as rape so it can't be too far off it this time.

You'd think he would learn...

I'm prepared to say that there's clearly a naivety about the lad, he's put himself in a position, again.

The rape mentioned in last years case was Titus brother, who was found guilty, Titus was arrested, but NEVER was he charged, or even directly accused of rape.

I won't defend the lad, as I fear the fact that this kind of thing follows him around, and that don't sit comfortably, but Chappaz point earlier, about opportunist girls and his past problems cannot be discounted.

I know people both Mag and Sunderland who know Titus, and every one of them say he's a smashing lad, but then, so does the mother who's son is a murderer.

Just gotta wait and see before we hang, dra & quarter the lad.

From sky : Last year Bramble, who played in his team's 2-1 defeat at Norwich on Monday, was arrested by Northumbria Police over an alleged rape in a Newcastle hotel but he was later released without charge.

But I do agree about what Chappaz said and I'm prepared to await the verdict as he still innocent until proven guilty.

But I also agree about the no smoke without fire part...

As i said marra, he was never charged.

He was arrested as an 'accomplice' , for want of a better word.

I paid 65euro for F1 cos i was bored, and it's still in the ****ing wrapping, i'll not touch it now, not for 3 month at least, then MW3 will be due.

Money well spent. Not.

Hence i refuse to spend 75euro when i can wait a day!

I don't condone any of what he's said mate, but i find it hard to gun out in support of Titus in this moment.

For the record, i didn't read the full thread, the 'runs in the family' and 'continue raping' comments are disgraceful.

Fair enough, you do not condone his remarks, However, I would (most respectfully) ask you to consider that your continuing a friendly conversation (and any form of interaction) with a "person" who propounds such a bigoted sense of warped values is right?? I've told people who I thought were friends for years to piss off, who came out with the like.
