I think its fair to say that there has never been a takeover that has many wide ranging considerations and potential concerns as this. Unfortunately for us, we're the club in question and the process is taking place during an unprecedented global crisis. The implications are huge of effectively a state apparatus to take over a football club. The Premiership have to be absolutely 100% certain when they make their final decision. Clearly there are huge questions framing this, including the concerns on piracy and the portfolio of PIF. On the latter, there seems to be overarching considerations with wider PL interests I.e Man Utd.

It's frustrating and damaging for Newcastle' long term interests but its a huge question that the PL need to answer.

The only thing I would encourage people to do (and this is what has worked for me) is to try and avoid social media and tabloid articles on this. It's generally not helpful and not good for any of our mental health!

Forums like this are meant for discussion, and in a lot of times, speculation, so I appreciate that isn't easy.

Anyway, my two cents before I'm burned at the stake :)

Never touch social media, it's all bullshit because nobody knows. It's with the prem. Non disclosure agreements are clearly in place. We and everyone else won't know until the prem have made their decision.

Used to occasionally have a look at mainstream media outlets but then after reading the first sentence = bullshit.

I've watched a few of those vids on YouTube with the blonde lawyer and I think the guy is a barrister. They do a good job of explaining stuff. They pretty much say its with the prem and we won't know until they have made their decision.

Just a waiting game. Not great for us or the club but hey, wtf can we do <laugh>

was just about to post this

no surprise that the second the reports start looking positive up pops Miguel Delaney and the next grenade comes over the fence.

I still have no idea why there's only issue with PIF owning stakes in nufc and no other UK business.. oh actually yeah I think I do
