I think they might struggle to get rid of him, no one is going to pay the 40 - 50 million city want for him, especially now they know that city will be desperate to get rid of him. Then there's the wages situation, very few clubs will be either willing or able to pay him, if he is that desperate to get out he will probably have to take a pay cut, but with that agent of his, I can't see either of them taking the cheap option, because his agent is the worst money grabber in football.
This could be a difficult situation for city, do they just release him in jan, and miss out on a large transfer fee, normally that might not bother city, as they don't need the money, but actually they do need the money if they're going to try and meet the FFP rules.

Tevez is a very naughty boy - the lawyers will no doubt be examining his contract as we speak.
MCFC are paying too much for too many players.... Not only does this have a negative impact on team morale it makes it difficult to offload them.
I like the fact there is another team challenging for things but the wage demands are filtering down to 'lesser' teams and we are now having to give players sweeteners to get them to stoke within our wage structure......

i think you'll find that the biggest wum (wind-up merchant) towards your club is Tevez.
He refused to play for you. When your manager told him to get on the pitch, Tevez told him to do one. That's a far bigger wind-up to your fans than anything I, or anyone else could come up with

IMO Tevez has been problematic ever since he, and his agent/owner (Kia wotsisname) first appeared on the Premiership scene, with West Ham.
If found to be true, refusing to play should surely be a sacking offence. In such an event, City should do what Chelsea did with Mutu., ie., sack him and sue him for breach of contract.
Like El Haj Djouff, Tevez the player would be missed. Tevez the man would not.

I wasn't necessarily referring to you when I wrote "play for you" but was referring instead to £ity.

However there are reports out there today that Tevez claims he did not refuse to play. I'm sure you'll all have read them so my question is - what if it was a chronic misunderstanding in the eat of the moment? Neither Tevez nor Mancini have English as their first language and I doubt if they may have conversed in another language. If you follow Tevez's reported statements today and this came from the BBC, "....talking through his translator, seemed entirely unaware that he was being accused of refusing to play - he replied to "why didn't you come on?" with "if the manager doesn't want to bring me on, that's his decision".
If that exchange has been correctly reported, there is a lot I think that we need to know about this before making a judgment. He's no saint but I think like everyone else, he deserves a fair hearing. Dzeko however was out of order and there's no doubt about that.

We are joint top of the PL and we have managed to get there with almost no help from Tevez, if he leaves and is replaced with another quality striker like Robin van Persi (or one of the others the rumour machine keeps linking us with) there is no reason we will not be able to keep the challenge up.
I have read today they could sack him then go after his owner (or whatever the greasy **** is) and do him for breach of contract, i am sure the best lawyers in the country are being paid handsomely to get him out as soon as possible.
