Tevez refuses to play

    If, and it is if, what Mancini says happened is what happened, then for football to retain itself even the smallest semblence of dignity he should be fired instantly for gross misconduct. I don't care if they are millionaire, celebrity assets of a company, they are employees.

    Football sends so many messages out to the viewing public, particularly the younger viewing public. Many of them are terrible messages. The message that you can openly defy your employer and continue being a 'hero' (lets face it, football fans are fickle) is just one step too far. If I refused to fulfill the terms of my contract I'd be fired, no questions asked.

    He shouldn't get a pay out, or compensation, or anything for that matter. Shown the door and good luck for the future.

    Hoddle you are just a idiot, Dzeko is not the 1st and certainly will not be the last to be an annoyed at being substitued. I suppose that that sort of thing has never happened at Spurs. Not 1 Spurs player has been annoyed at being substitued. I remember Defoe doing it, as well as Hoddle when he was playing.

    City bought him from Joorabian (sp?) so his "owner" is City.
