Its a great way of judging our ethnic minorities based on how well they take the abuse we throw at them.

Just shows that this place is really a microcosm of society - Bobby just bats off the requests to deliver a No 45 with Fried Rice from various posters while Spurlock has been complaining because nobody has been campaigning for PLM (Pakistani Lives Matter).

The Chinese are probably the most verbally abused ethnics in this country mate, you are old enough to remember late night drunks in chippys, yet they have never complained or asked for special treatment. In America (and here) they were treated just as bad as Blacks were and used as slaves to build railways and other infrastructure, again very little complaint.
They don't seem to live in enclaves but instead just live among the general population, work hard when adult and learn when at school. Now there is much less prejudice against them and all done without protests and rioting.

Don't be ridiculous.

30,000 more deaths in Care Homes than the same period last year ... but only 20,000 of those attributed to Covid-19 .... hmmmm must have been some collective fatal over excitement during the Bingo ... coz nobody would try and manipulate the figures ... would they? :bandit:

In fairness, the rest could largely be accounted for by the fact they’d have likely been moved to hospital under normal circumstances.

The most meaningful figure is, was and always will be the difference in the overall death rate compared with the 5 yr average, and that’s running at circa 65,000 last time I looked.

Just a wild guess, the non covid, could they be people who in normal times would have been moved to a hospital, but had to die at the home instead from 'other causes.'

At least we protected the NHS.

Ventilators something something.

When the EU receive their order it will be because the US have released the manufacturer from contract invoked under the Defence Production Act, which will mean the Yanks have it under control.

The EU literally placed an order with a manufacturer based in the country hardest hit by the virus and people moaned that we didn’t jump on the contract.

So predictably here comes Johnson trying to blame Care Homes for the COVID deaths in care homes.

Despite sending 25,000 patients untested back to care homes, and make no testing available for errrmm care homes.

But it was their fault apparently and people will swallow it.

It’ll appeal to the people it’s meant to appeal to. It’s not meant to be based on any sort of reality.

These pubs that have closed down due to people who have tested positive confuse me . My confusion stems from the fact that i struggle to believe that anyone who went to a pub on Saturday has since felt unwell , contacted NHS for a test , had test and has already received the test results and the pubs informed . Only logical conclusion is that people who were awaiting results decided the best way of spending the time before getting the result was to go & get pissed with their mates .
****ers .

I had a test and the result was back within 24 hours. But I understand your general point, although could they have been carriers, before the virus actually showed symptoms on them ?
