The social origins of Extinction Rebellion do not make their argument any less valid Staines ! I will, of course, moan about the destruction of the Amazon rain forest without shovelling grams of anything up my nose - as do many other environmentalists. The assumption that environmentalists are all middle class junkie kids who have no idea about real life is just another media fed stereotype. If you are intent on class war it may also interest you to know how much of an extreme environmentalist Karl Marx was - or was he also a middle class ****er without a clue about real lives ?

As I say, just my personal view from my experiences with these people. Not saying I’m correct....only stating my opinion

Extinction rebellion is only the beginning ! Our biggest mistake is in believing that this World belongs exclusively to us - do people really think that a small minority of those on this planet should be allowed to spoil it irreparably for all others, and for all other life forms as well ? If the whole World consumed and used resources in the same fashion as in countries like the UK, Germany and the USA then we would need the resources of over 4 planets to match that consumption. Do people really think that we can constantly consume and expand as if there were no natural limit ?

I've seen some of these Shomrim guys in action, you wouldn't be advised to mess with them. It's a shame they have to do the job the Police should be doing but they serve the whole community so well done them...

This was a technical issue where Labour's Ashworth's speech did not match his motion. The Tories are in favour of regular testing as advised by the Chief Medical Officer and that's being brought in

This by a Tory MP who wants weekly testing:

"If you read the motion you will see there is no examination of costing, no attempt to address the practical problems associated with undertaking blanket testing weekly, no scientific evidence on the merits of testing and what it will achieve – in fact, absolutely nothing of any substance, just ‘vote for it because it will gain a few headlines’.

"Government doesn’t work like that and Labour knows it."

Who are they? Never heard of them, some kind of citizen vigilante group?

Hardcore Orthodox Jews. No idea what the history is but I expect it was started because some of the ultra-orthodox will have little contact with anyone else so it helps them police themselves against antisemitism but they try and help more widely than that and for non-Jews too.
