More children to feed and, more often than not, only one provider equals greater poverty. Keeping it in your pants, or staying around for the birth, would help things quite considerably.

If that is the case, then that's definitely not good and we need to look at it. There could be cultural and historical reasons related to generations of poverty and disadvantage; slavery, share-cropping, black slums at the turn of the century, segregation and ghettos, the black community in these areas have historically felt threatened and so have responded in this way, or even exploitation by the mafia in the early development in the illegal drug trade. I think all of those are legitimate, I'm not going to continue a line of defence with these socioeconomic factors.

I haven't commented on those statistics, neither was it a contradiction with the figures you quoted, it said 'UK Census 2011'
It may help to use UK figures as we have a far better potential understanding of conditions in the UK rather than USA where the conditions are not the same. Also Australia ("hello Australia, still here?!"
