The next step is a full scan to see if the cancer is anywhere else and then we might start again.
It's great that this thread helps.I am not the most prolific contributor here but after following city since I moved here in 1977 first pay at gate and since the move to the Kcom season pass holder.
2 reasons for this
1 - diagnosed with cancer in week of lockdown currently having to self medicate in an even longer lockdown period upto end of virus Covid or October when self medicating becomes hospital treatment
.
2 - Allam ruining of city all the for greed especially Enob the slimy toad.
But have mixed feelings for Papa as I am treated at Queens centre.
I have started to really look at things in a different perspective especially counselling as I am having a therapy weekly and calling Macmillan at a set time to discuss everything and anything. Those people who work at Queens are truly amazing and as for Macmillan they are so supportive even on bad dark days when everything seems bleak.
That felt good writing that above!

How do you feel about your name change?Just had a letter from the consultant and looks like my lockdown period could last until September which is a bit of a blow or Covid goes away!

Are shielding letters being sent to each individual rather than the government giving blanket advice in their press conference?Oh I see it now Newland not Newbald, someone slipped up and NewlandTiger is wondering what is going on.

Yes they are. When I'm not sure but everyone who was advised to shield should be getting another letter telling them what to do next and whenAre shielding letters being sent to each individual rather than the government giving blanket advice in their press conference?

My son in law is in the same position as you at the moment Newbald. He's had 2 courses of 3 day Chemo at the Beatson Glasgow and goes again this Thursday. When he's home my Daughter injects him with some sort of booster. He has to shield, like you,and my Daughter and the little un stay at home too.You stay safe and take care but most of all you beat this!!!Don’t know this is the consultant keeping me locked down as I have no immune system at all and he is very aware of any virus infection even a cold

He's doing really well.He had testicular cancer which had spread to his lymph nodes, had the testicle removed at the Nuffield and 2 weeks later he was getting chemo in the beatson.Apart from the loss of his hair,he hasn't been affected by the chemo at all.The main danger is coronavirus, flu etc due to his immune system. Are the tablets of a similar strength to infusions and are you suffering any side effects? I wish you a speedy recovery and all the best from the bottom of my heart, take care and keep us all posted.Hope all goes well for him and family and he kicks this into touch, luckily my Chemo is by tablets at present as is all my treatments due to corona virus and them not wanting me and others in hospital yet but my turn will come no doubt.

Chin up mate...I hope you are getting all the support you need from family, friends and all concerned with this forum.Side effects seem to be mainly sleeping but as well as chemo tablets I am on steroids so ballooned in stomach and ankles, and with the mix of other tablets breathing is laboured as well. Glad he is doing ok though and long May it continue.

Sorry to hear of your trials. I hope everything sorts itself; I'm sure it will. But good luck and best wishes anyway, positive thoughts
