Returing to your I am better than you rhetoric SH
Using derogatory terms to describe Frechies life and upbeat terms to describe your own....

I happen to know that Frenchie is integrated into his community in France and has a full and thorough life with his French neigbours and friends.

It is no good speaking good French if you spend most days, perched over a computer, whinging about your former country's government. It is far better to spend time interacting with locals.

That is hilarious coming from a person who couldn't hack it in another country, and now regards his neighbours in England as cretins. The perfect little Englander.

But you spend most days perched over a computer trying to antagonize people whenever possible. In fact I think you dream about it at nights satisfied with how many people have actually taken the bait. Surely it would be better for you to spend more time interacting with the locals.

We are descending into another situation on here where SH is attempting to bait people, and only three people are even engaging with him... He really is behaving like a troll........

I can assure you that I am not a drippy former hippy, and the home counties is the last place I would ever want to live !

Getting a little bit under the belt aren't we ? This is more than just one of your petty insults towards a fellow poster ! I would suggest that instead of wasting your time on here with people who you obviously consider beneath you that you occupy your time elsewhere - in other words do us all a favour and take a hike (preferably on the motorway) !

As we can see he either can't or doesn't wish to discuss the issues put to him, so I suggest we just ignore his postings and leave him to talk to himself.

I would refer you to his last post (2649) Frenchie. This goes way beyond what is acceptable posting, even though it wasn't directed at myself. There needs to be action taken on this or he will feel he can get away with anything. It is not enough to simply ignore - he needs to be banned from this forum before he causes more damage, or keeps decent posters away.

Macron is today visiting the UK to celebrate De Gaulle's defiant speech during the war. He actually spent the war years hiding in a house, Rodinghead, about a mile from my present house. He once took the salute from the local home guard on our village green. He was said to be furious that a French flag could not be found anywhere to be included within the occasion.

I had hoped that after the previous bans he might have learnt to behave in a socially reasonable manner. I will listen to all comments, public and private.

Yet another U turn as the government ditches the phone app for another system. Just how much has that cost?

The German Corona app has been downloaded more than 8m times in 48 hours. It is privacy-friendly, open source, easy to adapt, and -- most importantly -- *oven-ready*! Other than pride, what stops UK government from using it? The software is released under a free and open source license: So no need to buy anything at all: Just copy, adapt and use it! So why did the UK world beating system finish up in the dustbin? Looks like the Cummings data grab has failed.

I suggest that the money grab hasn't failed though - that was probably the driver behind it all along.

    Sour grapes from the Torygraph?

Under the headline "New Zealand is no lockdown success story" - you have to wonder what they refer to the UK's shambles as.
