From what I've heard, school staff in Wales will be offered the anti body test from Monday in a system ranking schools by pupil enrollment figures with those schools with the highest number of pupils enrolled at their schools given the anti body test first. By using that sort of system, staff and pupils at my school will be lucky to get a test by September.
Heard yesterday that school staff may not now be getting tested. It has all gone very quiet on the testing front. Will children return on June 29? I have my doubts. When you look from the inside you can understand why.So much preparation work to be done.It is not just a matter of children turning up.As I am sure you are aware Valley. Also, heard again yesterday that not all children will be returning in September.
Here we go again!!! https://news.sky.com/story/coronavi...y-mode-after-spike-in-covid-19-cases-12005803
Well Southampton now all clear, wife eating on her Anti body test results, supposed to be 48hrs, others have had the results and they say if it takes longer, then it’s very likely you have had the virus, wife recons she had in in January, be interesting to get the results. Big cheers were made by all ICU staff, they have now relaxed the level of PPE, they are now just wearing bibs and normal medical masks.
You will see some very large second wave outbreaks shortly worldwide, the pandemic has not been managed very well in general, but certainly here in the UK, it has been a disaster, I fully expect the US and UK to have further outbreaks, and all these protests have been a dream for Covid-19 ..............
Education will be a write off for the next 12 months until everyone has recieved a vaccine. School transportation is a non starter, a 52 seater can only hold 7/8 pupils. My class can hold 30 pupils plus myself on a normal term day. Under the current safe guidelines, my class can hold 8 people (including myself).
Testing now available for teaching staff and any other staff that in the last 13 weeks have been involved in the school hub. Looks like 20 classes of 8 per class. 80 AM 80 PM
Schools will have to open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week plus holidays. Straws to be drawn to see which children are on the 10pm - 6am shift... All people who have been made redundant to become teachers. There's a way around everything
