Only thing with Mumba is that he's not had a good season. Maybe they just think he's got a (comparatively) decent reputation and need to sell him now if they're to get anything for him. He certainly hasn't stood out on the odd occasion when I've seen him for the u23s this season

Bali Mumba is on £2k a week, he should be in the first team. If we can't find a place for him in the team, we need to sell him.

Doesn't surprise me actually thought he might be on more, Man City were offering to buy his family a home ect before he decided to stay at Sunderland. He's a decent kid.
Yeah he is, he’s just not very good.

I think he has real potential
He did well at a really young age in his few outings under Ross
I think the issue here is the absolute **** storm that was our U18 and U23s over the last two years
We had some good lads but the infrastructure and coaching has been torn apart
Can't think of one player who has actually progressed most have gone backwards massively and that's no coincidence.
If I was a young lad with potential like Bali I would be off asap

Re Mumba he had a good little loan spell at Shields that will have done him the world of good.

We should be putting ourselves in a position where our midfield is too strong for him to get a look in and he goes out on loan again

He is a very good midfield player with bags of potential, he is not a full back and never will be, whoever thought of this, is the one who should be leaving, I hope he goes to a club that know what its doing, and he goes on to show those who don't rate him how wrong they are, Good luck Bali whatever happens, you can be proud of yourself and your time at Sunderland, unlike some we could mention..

No news on the takeover yet then?

I was hoping chancer Stew would have dropped his utterly insane demands now hes had a few days to let his current predicament sink in.

Selling Bali to help balance the books over the summer?

Just like we've sold every good prospect from the academy, so that Donald doesn't have to put any money in. :emoticon-0112-wonde :emoticon-0132-envy:

If ever there was the epitomy of a selling club... SAFC is currently it. Complete and utter joke and I truly believe that Donald would sell his own mother and children if it came to it!

We are doomed under his ownership

There's a fine balance in play here.

Donald knows he has a valuable asset but the value is decreasing. He's now failed, from an advantageous position, to get the club promoted. Another failure could see his asset become worth much less than it is now and an inferior squad.

I don't believe he has the finances, momentum or support of the club to play too many clever games and he knows it.

One thing is crystal clear, if he received an acceptable offer today he'd be gone tomorrow ...

... his only ambition, for SAFC, is to sell it.

Well said Smug , can you not get on the phone to some of your rich employers/acquaintances and point them in the direction of the SOL . Potential for them to become heroes and an opportunity for you to be able to say I had a part in getting them here , you would never have to buy another pint .
