I know they have learnt from it, but in their defence they and the fanzines got it spot on. I think that it was a time critical statement which hastened the thought process.
Absolutely. They got a lot of stick at the time
mainly stirred up by Donald looking for the sympathy vote with his claims of harassment and playing the victim.
Suspect majority of fans would get well behind a similar statement / stance now
Saying that don't think it would make a hapath of difference the man appears to live in his own little Walter Mitty world

there was a board meeting today, Davey Jones just tweeted about it so unless they are having two in a week it’s probably as you say. Plus if it’s in person they are gonna have to isolate for 14 days
There was one the other day according to the CEO on talk sport.

No man, Madbob has said there is a board meeting tomorrow. He knows everything, even accusing me of being a mag

There is a meeting between Rodwell, the RAWA, BLC, SLG and probably a couple others. Mind I don't think Bob mentioned that before it was mentioned on twitter by the groups in attendance so it's not exactly a scoop! Wouldn't expect much from it mind, its most likely just to be an introduction of sorts I'd have thought. Had it been earlier in the week I'd have been more positive at least in terms of discussing the season card issue, but with it being after the cancellation deadline you'd imagine the scope for discussion might be limited.

I’m waiting to see who JR gets rid of mate. I’ve asked Bob to set me up with a meeting with them as well.

So it’s not with current and new owners as mentioned on the SMB. Still be interesting to hear if Rodwell gives away anything meaningful or just corporate sound bites. Probably the latter from the couple of bits I’ve seen so far, hasn’t got the honesty and integrity type of vibe.

Nah, no new owners/ investors or owt like that. Don't think he'll give away anything meaningful either, it's just that he hasn't yet spoken to any of the groups so he's having a chat with a few from them. I imagine it'll purely be a "getting to know you" thing. Obviously there's a lot that the groups will want to discuss, but him arranging the meeting for after the SC deadline doesn't suggest that he's going to discuss anything in detail!

Reactions: Nozs’ Hat
Supporters challenged club officials on the performance of the academy and the recent cases of selling our best young talent. Jim Rodwell stated that they have to balance investment in the first team with investment in the academy. There are no plans to scale back or mothball the academy but all options will have to be considered.

How is this acceptable? The academy is the future, proper funding, scouting and coaching at the academy is vital to our long term success

They care not one jot about our club

That actually insults the fans intelligence "balance investment in the first team with investment in the academy"
They hoped to get promotion on the cheap and cocked it up. Worst finish in the clubs history
While absolutely tearing apart the clubs infrastructure to the point that it could barely function.
All of the bright young talent sold off and one point between the u18 and u23 teams all season.
Unfortunately, I think that mothballing the academy is an absolute given. They've got nothing left to cut.

Just posted this over the road on the Mumba is off thread. The bit in italics proves that the piss taking party will continue.

From the RAWA meeting - “Supporters challenged club officials on the performance of the academy and the recent cases of selling our best young talent. Jim Rodwell stated that they have to balance investment in the first team with investment in the academy. There are no plans to scale back or mothball the academy but all options will have to be considered. RAWA reminded the club about how integral the academy is to the future of the football club.”

Bye bye Mumba!
