    Maybe get some unbiased reading then? the statue was sculpted in the 1800s but has stood in a few places, was in cold storage from 1943 to 1997.

    I have been there in West India Quay , the bridge and statue is very recent 1997 sounds about right.
    Other than the skyscrapers that city boys work in there is **** all round there apart from a few ****e restaurants and a huge Wetherspoons .

    The Mayor is acting like a Despot that knows his time is up so is doing as much damage as he can before he leaves.
    His stint ended in May so technically he shouldn't be making sweeping changes to our capital city .

    Personally I would fish the statue out of the harbour in Bristol and put it back , making the vandals that took it down pay for it or go to prison.

    They had a poll in Bristol to remove it but most residents voted to keep it.
    We can't be bullied by an angry far left mob
