I'm a big fan of the author, it's on Netflix at the moment, going to rewatch on the weekend.

I was a young kid when it came out so obviously didn't see it at the cinema but definitely a classic.

The raptors in the kitchen scene is superb.

It was a wow moment for us oldies, nothing like that had been possible before and all of a sudden real looking dinosaurs. It's a given now.

Which is the one where he can talk to the raptors? Got them all trained and given them little nicknames like a 5 year old would give their toys?

That one was ****, spent the whole film hoping the raptor would take offence to being called fluffy or whatever and murk him

I think I saw another one (might just be a dinosaur film though) where they were auctioning dinosaurs off. To be super weapons or something, obviously it all goes wrong and a T-Rex with Tony Jaa moves is unleashed on the world

Yeah that's the second Jurassic World that we was on about earlier, which is even worse.

Watched a few good offerings on YouTube lately. One was Rise, prison drama the other was I’ll follow you down starring the Osmet guy from sixth sense. Also had Gillian Anderson as eye candy. Recommend both.

It's written by a guy called Cormack McCarthy, he also wrote All The pretty Horses and The Road not that they are his best work or anything. Great author.

Well, I enjoyed both Jurassic Worlds, they were exactly what they were supposed to be, a monster orientated action movie romp. If you watched it thinking it would be something else, or true to life when it has genetically engineered dinosaurs running around in the modern day, that's really your fault.

Yeah I get that. Not a patch on the originals though. The first JW was okay tbf but I really didn't enjoy the second one.

My point regarding the fake dinosaurs is that the originals were based on the magic of bringing prehistoric creatures back to life rather than creating a fake monster, such as Godzilla or Alien for example. That's what made the original stand out compare to other monster orientated films in that they actually existed imo. Then again I'm not a big fan of sci-fi.

Probably partly me starting to get to that age where I can start whinging about how much better things were years ago tbh lol.
