Mate i'm not Dev, I don't argue when I'm wrong. It's not a racist insult, it doesn't apply to their race, it applies to their views.

Well, I'm not buying it. I've never been called gammon but it seems to me that it quite clearly is used to describe middle aged white folk.

Happy to be proved wrong but yet to see any evidence of a BAME being called a gammon or a redneck.

No it's not. I've explained myself quite clearly. If gammon was a racist slur it would apply to all white people, as RACIST applies to the RACE of the person insulted.

Rednecks generally have white supremacist views, so it's very unlikely that a black person would be considered a redneck unless they were very confused and self-hating.

I've not seen any black people with gammoney views on QT or telly, but tbh I've not really been looking for any. I'll report back if I do <ok>

I don't buy it, but I don't buy racism itself. There is only one race.

Stop fuelling grievance fuelled identity politics and stop promoting failed socio-economic models that were responsible for tens of millions of deaths in the last century and maybe we can all move onto more harmonious times but this current climate will not end well for a big proportion of the population.

We are about to enter the biggest recession in history and the last thing we need is leftist spastics following Marxists ideologies fanning racial disharmony and agitating against those who they think are "evil" for having a different view.

I'm not pro-Labour, I'm anti-Tory. I want a fairer society, that's all, and Labour is the only option that vaguely suits my economic ideals.
 
Chavs is a racist term to describe white low income criminals the black version is Thug which has already been branded racist .
Even though blacks use it themselves as a badge of honour.
You can get white thugs , in a way to describe their actions.

Black people are more likely to be fragile and act violently if they are called mames and the Toby types make excuses for them.
The same people like belittling gammons and chavs because they have some weird superiority complex against white working class low income people.

We've had a week of vile racist ****e being spammed all over GC, yet some only get outraged by some Brexitards being called 'gammons'.

Fairer society is a nice phrase, I've yet to see anyone display how that is achieved other than State intervention and State intervention is massively expensive and fails 99 times out 100.

The State is people, people have opinions, these people make decisions based on their opinions, which then in turn leads to favouritism based on their opinions and we start the merry go round again with people feeling wronged because the State invests money in central London, or The North, or rural Scotland etc...

It's never ending.

We as individuals can be good people, be good to ourselves and do good in our communities, that will make for a fairer society then spending billions on more resources to make a bigger Govt and employing career politicians who are only interested in lining their own pockets.
