**** me, issued a warning over the road for calling Richard Hill an incompetent, baldy little fat ****er. Inappropriate language, I thought it was quite appropriate

Didn't know about that, I didn't get anything for my reply (at least they've said nowt to me)

The extract belown if from RTG.
Does any one think it has credance?

I don't claim to have inside information or have contacts at the club
A good friend of mind has a lot to do with the running of one of the local supporters groups. He does speak with people from the club from time to time and has given me bits of gossip he has been told.
I just keep these to myself and treat them as such "gossip".
The thing is that last few thing he came out with have been spot the likes of the take over, who was behind it etc a few weeks before it became public knowledge.
The last thing he told me was a week before it was announced that the takeover had sort of fallen and they were just going to loan the club some money instead.
The strange thing he did say was that the plan from then was for SD to basically run the club down keep the 10 million then go bankrupt and the Americans would take control of the club.
At the time I took this as a pinch of salt as I couldn't see how this would actually benefit SD.
The more things carry on the more im thinking it could be true, does anyone if doing this could actually benefit SD

It does not make logical sense mate. Although this whole SC fiasco does make you wonder what must be going through their heads. Why literally chuck your money away. Donald has gone silent and we are clearly heading into another summer of uncertainty and lack of planning. And it certainly does not look like we are about to be sold. Five parties undertaking DD back in February / March. Now two interested parties yet to undertake DD.

For me SD’s continual search for investment / takeover has been his biggest mistake. It’s prevented a lack of decision-making and proper planning which we clearly needed. We are not progressing under their ownership - either on or off the pitch. Other than reducing the cost base and sorting a few legal wrangles - what have they actually done in two years? Re-opened the fan zone and changed the seats? What happened to all this talk of a new ticketing system, new club shop, tidying the the stadium, letting the fans choose the strips, a micro-brewery. A long list which has not been tackled because SD wanted to sell or simply did not have the money. He should never have been allowed to buy the club.

I’m onboard with the theory that they want to put the club into admin. I can’t think any other reason as to why they would purposely annoy their main revenue stream.

He wouldn't have been able to buy the club if he hadn't had (his now employee) Jim Rodwell as an "insider" when the fit and proper person test was done.

I find it hard to believe mate. Seems more likely to be incompetence or a badly misjudged decision.

I reckon that they have given up on selling us at the moment. At least for the price they are after.

They are just desperate to get us promoted and cash in at the level they've been desiring all along.

In an ideal world, they will have taken on board all of the recruitment mistakes and will play a blinder in the summer......

I don't think that would benefit Donald at all. I mean, it would mean he didn't have to find £20m to pay back into the club, but he's removed the obligation to pay it anyway so he can avoid it even without going into administration. Administration also removes him from the decision making process, they'd find a buyer when it obviously suits him to try and do it himself. If he's reduced the cost base as much as he thinks he has (which he must have done since we've got **** players, his mates in key positions, seemingly no ****er doing recruitment etc) then he's much better, as far as I can tell, staying in control of the process (someone like @Kittenmittons will have a better idea on this than I do).

Was Donald driving us into administration always FPP's plan? Again, I don't think so. Especially prior to Covid there wasn't much indication that we were in major financial trouble. The accounts might tell a different story, but with the way we've been cut back to the bone I'd be surprised if they saw administration as a likely outcome. A lot more likely is that they wanted to buy the club but were miles apart on valuation because Donald seems obsessed with making a good profit despite the lack of any progress. The loan being convertible suggests it was a case of "if you think you should be getting the amount you want, then take this money, use it well, and if you can get the club promoted then the loan will be worth a lower %, fail to do so and it will be worth a much higher %". The loan wasn't something Donald wanted, it was FPP's idea, so they obviously had a plan behind it, but I think simply seeing what, if anything, Donald could do with the money was the major driver, not wanting to see the club in administration. After all, we know they don't want to run us, if the bloke doing the job now proved adept at spending their money then they was a ready made solution that suited both parties.

My concern now is that I don't know what their intentions are if we don't go up. Yes their loan would get them a higher % of ownership, but Donald has proved incompetent and they'd be left needing to fund getting us out of two divisions and not one. I'm hoping they'd still want to take it on but it's more of a risk for them. I've said before though, someone else might be prepared to buy Madrox and keep the relationship with FPP, and that still wouldn't surprise me - they'd get a club for a low price with a lot of potential and a rich backer prepared to inject capital. Ran properly they could still make a lot of money from the arrangement. And FPP would be presumably be okay with it because they see it as a long term thing anyway, and they aren't investing in Donald no matter how many times he says they are

I wouldnt trust the ****er to run a bath.

Putting the club into Admin doesn't make sense but then nothing they are doing at the moment makes much sense.
At the moment I think they are just bumbling along from one incompetent decision to another
Hanging on desperately hoping for a big payday.
They way they are going that's not going to happen. We aren't getting promoted any time soon and I can't see a buyer on the horizon.
The worry is how far down they take the club and how much they rip it apart before they eventually bail out
Because bail out eventually is what they'll have to do.

It all reminds me of Operation Mincemeat ...

... but more complicated.

They both involved a massive con trick by two men, fake paperwork and thousands of people being fooled <doh>
