I like Kier, if the vote was tomorrow its probably were mine would go.

Tony Blairs closest associates in number 10 were press advisors were they not? He used the press probably better than any post war PM. He was especially amazing at it

Aye was he like the first Labour leader to have the Sun back him before a GE? <laugh> Says it all really. Of course having John Major floundering at the other end probably helped.

Nobody had done it to that extent before had they? It's been a template for everyone since, which is what's so tragic. It all ties in to spin, fake news, and whipping up the base. I'd say 90% of the narrative is directed through the media now and very little is based on what is actually fought out in the Commons.

Edit: Kier may have to wait 10 years.

The bloke that setup the "independent SAGE" group has been arguing this point for a couple of weeks (possibly as i'm losing track of time tbh) thay why we didn't use the existing infectious disease systems . The only flaw i could see was normally the GP is involved , presumably as they are originally contacted by the patient , but under Covid that hasn't been the case as NHS111 is the primary contact .

Aldo actually went into lockdown unemployed after telling his boss to ram his ****ing job when he was asked to do non essential work and will come out of lockdown owning his own business.

How's that for surviving?

Pretty impressive Aldo, and good luck <ok>

FFS please don't waste time & money on this .

Not my time, not my money - go for it. I have no particular like for Chris Huhne, but I remember the right-wing press, and Richard Littlejohn in particular (and that whiney-voiced tart Oakshott who ran off to be Tice's adulteress), went to the nth extreme to get him over that speeding ticket. Now they're like <wah>, 'Leave poor Britney Scumings alone!' Nah, **** him.

another inquiry will cost the public purse hence us for , as far as i can see , no purpose as everyone will already have made their minds up about that incident already .
I almost think it is now quite a useful distraction for this Govt who seem to be doing a wonderful disappearing act at present .
