Ok guys here is my strategy - currently p5 with my new driver so pushing for a win or fail.
Starting the race on wet tyres with 86ltrs fuel in hope that the rain stops before the fuel does which I predict to be around lap 25-30, hopefully I can then switch straight to the soft tyres which will last until my final stop. In terms of set up, I am going halfway between dry and wet (q1 and q2). Btw my fuel stints are 86-84-84. Good luck guys. Also thanks again to ben for the great info which helped a lot in q2.
I was initially thinking the same but there is too much of a chance the rain will stop and start again I think. According to my data the soft tyres will only last for 18 laps on dry so a 2 stopper will be very marginal if it rains for only 25 laps. I'm starting on wets with 75 liters of fuel that should take me 23 laps unless it stops raining before (does the wets last that long?) after that I'm going soft with 80 liters of fuel for 18 laps, twice. This is if I'm lucky and the rain lasts until lap 23, where it stops, which it most probably wont. So well I decided to go 75-80-80-80 just in CASE the weather acts up and you need several stops I don't want to be too heavy or spend to much time re-fueling.
I am going 23% wet:
Code:
------------Dry---Wet---Diff----%-----Sum-----Dry---RACE
Front wing: 341 - 431 = +090 x 0,23 = +20,7 + 341 = 361,7
Rear wing: 341 - 431 = +090 x 0,23 = +20,7 + 341 = 361,7
Engine: 526 - 446 = -080 x 0,23 = -18,4 + 526 = 507,6
Brakes: 686 - 726 = +040 x 0,23 = +09,2 + 686 = 695,2
Gear: 409 - 329 = -080 x 0,23 = -18,4 + 409 = 390,6
Suspension: 642 - 542 = -100 x 0,23 = -23,0 + 642 = 619,0
