I've not ignored them, I've formed my own opinion and said I'm comfortable with the current lifting of restrictions.

That's my own opinion, based on what I've read from a variety of sources.

You think it's too early, I don't. Neither of those opinions are fact.

As I said, I'm happier with the Wales version but wouldn't have an issue with if, in three more weeks, it's time to loosen things even further, as long as R rate stays below 1 etc.

I don't believe there will be a second wave imminently. I'm prepared to be there to be shot at if that proves to be incorrect.

There are loads of counter arguments to that, these are just opinions of individuals essentially.

One scientist says it's too soon while another says we've been in lockdown too long or shouldn't have even had one.

Bottom line is, do we really think the government would lift it too soon with out sound advice? Really?

I know they've made **** ups and none of you believe a single word they say but I can't really fathom the idea they'd want to have to go through the whole lockdown/hide/furlough process again.

****, yes. Of course we do. I have no faith in the government at all, none. Zero confidence in a single thing they say or do. And I did start out giving them the benefit of the doubt.

I'm not even saying they're making the wrong call; they might be making the right call, by accident. No one can say this situation was going to be anything other than a complete ****ing nightmare, for any government to deal with. But equally, it has become more obvious with every passing day that, this government is completely lacking in integrity, empathy, courage, decency, and basic competence. If Boris Johnson told me it was Saturday, and the sun was shining, I'd check a calander, and look up for signs of rain.

Your opinion and how you chose to feel and act wasn’t the discussion point, and I haven’t said it’s definitively too soon, I’ve merely questioned the logic applied and I previously asked the question as to whether it was the right time to be relaxing lockdown conditions given the current death / infection rates. Only time will tell if it’s a bad call or not.

With regards to the level 3/4 point, I stated the reality, which is that the Govt have gone against the conditions that they set out themselves. The levels were set by the science and they’ve gone against that by going early, it’s merely fact.

Got the hair clippers out again today, second time since lockdown, first time, I took the whole fooking lot offf. So this time just did back and sides, as top was ok, and it was easier to blend in with the top still being shorter...

I think the lockdown should've ended weeks ago.

With much tougher social distancing measures. I still don't understand why you can pile into a bus, tube or wander around a store with no face covering.

Isn't the whole aim to reduce the spread rather than lock everyone up. I've seen nothing to suggest covid is easily spread outside amongst people who are keeping their distance.

If I pick days when the UK had less deaths than some of them will you congratulate the government?
Pick some days since we switched to including care homes and we'll see if you can find a day that isn't a Sunday or day after a bank holiday when the drop is due to admin delays

Van Tam, got to like that guy, he takes no prisoners, and certainly made it clear what he thought of Cummings actions, without mentioning his name.

Just been confirmed that we are still at Level 4... so the latest advice from Bojo and the Bunglers contravenes their own measurement criteria ... you couldn't make it up <doh>

it is though very difficult to take him seriously after his reply to the question from Express journalist iirc regarding how people would know if it really was a contact tracer calling them .
paraphrasing
"it would become obvious they are dealing with professional people not a scammer"

Been out in the new forest today and seeing all the lovely ladies about showing off plenty of skin. Can't wait for social distancing to end so I can give some lucky girl the best 90 seconds of her life.
