I think it already has. As the Cummings debacle has now gone way beyond Cummings and his indiscretions, as what has really pissed people off, is the pitiful lies that senior Govt officials, including Johnson have put out there to try and save this fellas skin. As they’ve show a complete disdain for the intelligence of the populous. Together with watering down the crucial health advice that we’re all supposed to be living by.
oh, I meant something worse than a pandemic and 3 month quarantine. I don't think anyone's going to forget quickly, especially as we'll probably be in recession/depression for a while.

ok last question, if someone has had the virus, how long do they remain a carrier of it. So let's say someone caught it a couple of months ago, could they still pass it on to people, through it remaining in their system.

Don't think they know mate ... and that was part of the reasoning for the 'stay at home' message ... which changed to 'stay alert' when nobody could get hold of Cummings on his land line <whistle>

It won’t be enough because the conventions of democratic politics rely to some extent on people being prepared to do the decent thing when caught out in the wrong. This government, this PM, and this advisor have proved repeatedly their unwillingness to do the decent thing.

Cummings has already been held in contempt of Parliament for refusing to appear before a select committee. He was banned from the HoC, until Boris became leader and brought him back in. Then he prorogued Parliament, lied to the Queen, tried to ram Brexit through without debate in Westminster.

Of course when they couldn’t get away with that lot, they called and comfortably won a General Election, cheered on by a compliant media. They now consider themselves unassailable. Decency, convention, honesty? You won’t get a shred of it from this government

That's actually a brilliant breakdown of exactly why they know they can do what they want without fear of anyone, certainly not the public, to carry on regardless with the full knowledge whatever obstacle they face can be dealt with by untruths and utter bollox. Especially with an 80+ seat majority although May demonstrated that's not always necessary.

The problem is this disregard for accountability, the spinning of agenda, the bypassing of parliament through the media, didn't start with Cummings or Boris. Sadly, it started with Blair and New Labour. I've spent most of my adult life watching politics in this country being reduced to cynical soundbites and morally bankrupt individuals pushing through self-serving agendas with bare faced lies, deceit and corruption. That's the resignation I have atm. They've all been a ****shower over the last 20-25 years.

New Zealand discharged their last covid patient. Said it was because they closed their borders early....hmmm unlike us!
