If you are not saying Johnson has done a good or a bad job, why did your original post on this subject state "Everybody that slated Boris and the government for the lockdown and said Sweden had the right idea by not locking down etc. have you or will you accept that you were wrong as it turns out that Sweden got it wrong and they now have the highest infection rate in Europe. I won't hold my breath waiting...………."

My interpretation of what you said is, that at least Johnson did something right by locking down compared to a country like Sweden (who didn't) and their infection rates are now the highest in Europe. Their current daily rate of infection is higher than countries who locked down fully back in March but their overall infection rate is still middle of the road in European terms.

First of all, your lockdown over there was at least a week behind the rest of Europe who's leaders were a tad less sceptical about the whole pandemic and didn't go around shaking hands with people who had tested positive for Covid. In that week alone, pubs remained open, public transport remained fully operational and 250,000 people were allowed attend Cheltenham. 3,000 Atletico Madrid supporters were allowed go to Anfield when their particular city was at the epicentre of the pandemic. That was gross incompetence from Johnson at the time despite the advice he received from his scientist mates. After a week, Johnson decided to lockdown your country but at that stage, the virus had already entered many hospitals and care homes with the subsequent huge death toll. The lockdown has caused considerable economic damage to every country in the Western world. Sweden on the other hand chose a different path. They chose to keep their economy open and they advised their citizens to take precautions and exercise social distancing, The infection rate in Sweden is still lower than the UK and their death rate is considerably lower. They have had limited impact on their economy compared to the rest of us who are in deep doo doo.

The final economic and death toll for all of us is yet to be seen but at the moment, I would much rather be in Sweden's shoes in terms of economic recovery than the rest of Europe including the UK. If I was Swedish and you asked me to swop PM's, I would not be too happy.

Yes I currently hate Liebour, doesn’t mean I want their MP’s lives destroyed by a vindictive press, contrary to some opinions on here I do have morals and standards, not always obvious I know, but I have them ( somewhere )

Read the report again mate, Sweden currently have the highest infection rates in Europe, and where in the highlighted bit you put up did I say Boris has done a good job or for that fact a bad job I just said will people who criticised him now accept that maybe they got it wrong.
I’m not bothered by your interpretation because it’s your interpretation and you are allowed it, but don’t try to put words in my mouth please, it doesn’t become you.

Gosh, that is such a confrontational post. Now I understand why other posters complain about your attitude on here.

So tell us, how have Sweden got it wrong? You are quoted as saying Sweden got it wrong. Their infection rate is lower and their death toll is much, much lower and their economy is not up the swanny, unlike the rest of us.

You simply don't like other posters pointing out what a terrible job Johnson has done with the whole pandemic. That's the bottom line and it gets your goat up when people point that out by quoting facts.

Even if one were to conclude that Sweden handled this worse than us I don’t get how that means people were wrong about Johnson handling it horrifically/lazily.

Sweden on 409 to our 546 deaths per million and I’d hazard a guess their excess deaths spike puts ours to shame.

Did I actually say that I knew why , did I ? No, let it go.
I said Sweden got it wrong because their infection rate is now climbing alarmingly, it is in fact climbing so sharply that neighbors Denmark and Norway won’t open their borders to them but will to other Scandinavian neighbouring countries, you’d know this if you read the reporters piece in the Financial Times, instead you continually infer I said things I clearly didn’t, so either read the piece In the paper or stop trying to put words in my mouth because it’s becoming tedious.
Again have a good day and do some reading, I hear there is an interesting piece in the Financial Times by their chief Nordic correspondent.

    Such a childish post.

You come on here all triumphalist declaring that Johnson done something right as he locked down compared to Sweden who, in your words (not my interpretation) got it wrong.

The facts are - Sweden's new infection rates as of today are only slightly higher than countries that have been locked down since mid-March. Today for example, their infection rate is only 1.75% of their total compared to the UK's figure today of 1.56%. Their overall infection rate is much lower and their death toll is considerably less than the UK. Not only the UK but other countries in Europe as previously quoted. Sweden's economy is not in a perilous state unlike the rest of Europe (UK included). Anybody with a brain would realise that Sweden has NOT got it wrong.

I never inferred you said anything other than your declaration that "SWEDEN GOT IT WRONG". When challenged to produce facts to back up that argument, you launch into a tirade of abuse and refer me to read an article from the Financial Times which is obviously a tory biased paper using their biased opinion and using Sweden as a deflection tactic from the dreadful performance of their dearly beloved Boris.

Sorry Turkish, you as the propaganda wing of the Tory party may buy that rubbish, but others like me with an independent mind and access to the actual facts don't need to read politically biased articles to realise the facts.

Give my regards to the Nordic correspondent of the FT. and tell him he needs to get his ass over to London to see the comparison.

Yawn, you really are a tedious bore,
If you cannot be arsed to read the post to find out the facts then stop harping on about something you won’t look at, again have a nice evening and goodbye.

You read the actual facts not a politically biased article and come back to us.

Ask the lads on here what they think of you. Every single day you are getting lambasted but you continue coming back.

    Your reputation goes before you.

Any reason why he couldn't consult someone in the NHS?. It's what most normal people would think of especially when he's not short of a contact or two. Oh no. Let's cross the country instead taking a healthy child in your car so that he can breathe in whatever you've got alongside two parents both of whom are so ill that you worry whether the other will survive.. What's your fantasy land excuse for the trip to Barnard castle? To test his eyesight? How is that acceptable for someone who is supposed to be super intelligent. Try to answer without descending to your usual infantile name calling.

Ok after looking online on a mediafactcheck on factual reporting it is a fact that the FT is classed as high on their unbiased reporting and politically are classed as centre neither left nor right.
That puts to bed your claim it’s a Tory biased paper.
I heard on the TV said fact and decided to research myself as I have little time for tv news in general and it was there I found the article leading me to write what I did.
I don’t care what you assume others think of me, and I don’t care that you assume I’m a boris supporting sheep, I do care though that you continue to lambast me but won’t go read the article, if you can’t be arsed that’s your problem, I have explained to you and you still won’t listen, again your problem not mine,
So good evening and go read the article, you might learn something.
    Bye bye
