Actually, I never said there were corporate boxes at BP. In fact, like OLM, I could not remember there ever having been any, which is why I asked HHH where they were.

Before it was Yankee Burger, it was The Pioneer, where my grandma was a waitress.

I remember being mugged on Bunkers by some wedge haired ,Lyle and Scott wearing 'trendy' during the friendly against the Tampa Bay Rowdies .
Probably around 84 I would guess , that's obviously the year and not the age of the arsehole who turned me over .

I presume it just shut when that side of Jameson Street was redeveloped, after they knocked down the old HDM building, but I can't really remember.
Mr Science built up his business and eventually moved to bigger purpose built restaurant just off Gypsyville flyover in 91. This was done out in 50s style decor and had a pink corvette on the roof.

Science then retired, sold the business and it was down hill all the way from there. Think the current restaurant is called Yankeeland and is on the corner of Storey Street. The Gypsyville premesis is now gone. Sad.
The Gypsyville place was crap, it was nothing like the original, it was just like a Maccy Dee's with slightly better burgers and a car on the roof.
Just one of many abiding memories. Standing on Bunkers Hill watching the ball land on the East stand and 5-10 seconds later watching the punters dust themselves down. Rust!!
Beg to differ. When John Science owned it it was just the same quality food as it had been at the Jameson Street venue. When he sold it on it went to the dogs.
I was still still living in London in the early 90's, by the time I moved back and went in there, he'd probably already flogged it.
My first memory was Watford at home (can't remember the year). Stood in South Stand and some lass near me was getting fed up with people barging into her as the crowd surged and said the next person to bump into her would get a cig burn on their head. We were awarded a penalty and the crowd surged, and I ended up in front of said lass. I think Keith Edwards took the pen and scored. The crowd went mad and, true to her word, I got a cig stubbed out on the back of my neck. Happy days!!!
Yes I remember the anticipation after you see the ball hit the roof!
I also remember giving away team goalkeeper a tremendous reception as he jogged towards the goal in front of the south stand either at the beginning of the game or just after half time. You could always tell the keepers who had need been to Fer Ark before as they were usually very appreciative of the applause and clapped back, it was it this point the clapping changed to rude hand gestures and verbal abuse! Even now it brings a smile to my face!
My earliest memories are of my old mum taking me on a saturday, mid week i used to go with my old sunday school teacher, she was a season ticket holder in them days, she used to park on the land at the end of the road prior to BP before the bridge, recall getting a bloody great wooden unpainted rattle one xmas, early times i recall sat on benches on the cinder track v chelsea, recall stoke and waggys goals, as time progressed caught the train with mates and made it to bunkers, weirdest memory was my mate nailing his missus (bit of a tart) up against a barrier.......
Where do i start, my first real memory was against Leyton Orient 1963, as they used to be called then in the FA Cup.They were First Division then, and i dont why but remember a guy called Malcolm Musgrove playing.City lost 2-0, we had drawn 1-1 there.
First big game v Everton FA Cup again, one of my favourite players Billy Wilkinson getting a header in at Bunkers end,Alec Scott breaking my our hearts.Everton won the replay 2-1 but highlights shown on Sportsview, first time City i believe City had been seen on telly.
Losing 4-3 to Bournemouth at home and would you believe it Chilton and McSeveney both missing penalties, both over the bar.
That season beating Barnsley 7-0, watching it with my old man.He got chatting to this bloke who said he was a scout from Everton and he had a young Everton junior with him by the name of Colin Harvey.
November 21 st 1964 v Exeter City Waggys first game for us and he scored.Won 3-1.
Chelsea at home and away,Drawing 4-4 with Wednesday Boxing Day 70 after being down 4-1 with 15 minutes left.Giving the bird to the Wednesday fans on their way home down Boothferry Road, only for one of the coaches to stop at top of First Lane Hessle and they emptyimg out.Me and my mate have never ran so fast.
The heartbreak of losing to Stoke in the Cup 71, Keith Edwards nearly as good as Waggy, scoring a solo goal against Wallsall i think.
Any win against the red and white scum called the blades, Edwards and Gerry Summers where the only good things to come out of there.
I started on Bunkers, South Stand, drifted to the East, Kempton then did i become civilised sat in the West Stand just in front of Alan Plater.A good mate of mine workmate was Mally Lord and as i got to know Lordy realised how City through and through he was.He came to a game with my mate and me and we went into the supporters club in the North stand.The doorman was not going to let him in because he did not have a membership card.He said i have just retired after playing for City all my career, we persuaded the doorman he was telling the truth.
And my abiding memory is winning 25 pounds on the Golden Goal 86:31 sec v Charlton Five- two.1968. Who scored Waggy of course. Being 15 at the time thought i was king of the world.
I have only been to the KC once in 2004 v Northampton which we lost 3-2, but i hope to visit again soon and when we are in the Premier League again.Happy memories but we move on to acheiving more.

Nevertheless, I am a big fan of the KC and love going there… a great stadium with memories to be made… from the dodgy walk under and over the flyover (why do the Council not tidy that area up?), to the ‘Tiger Tiger burning bright’ opening theme. Stuart Elliott’s goals, Stuart Green, Jason Price running down the wing and Jay Simpson’s first goals, Bizarrely, I also enjoyed Vicar/Reverend doing the Christmas preamble before the games, there is something quite English about that appeals. Will Mr Elliott be doing this going forward?
Anyway, here’s to more great memories from the Tigers and the Tiger nation in 2011/2012.

First game round a bout 63 seem to remember Fisher in goal. Stood low down in east stand before moving to Bunkers in later seasons.
I can vaguely recall my first two games both against Sheffield United one in the cup drew 1-1, one in the league (a year later???) won 4-1 and I was hooked. Although didnt start regular til 85/86. Happy days, Robinsons pom pom girls, red in the kit, orange plastic signed balls booted into bunkers when the teams came out, tigercola, the tigers are back on 45rpm, stanleees free kicks and pens......... real football
My all time favourite Chris Chillo--it was his goal on the opening credit of the old ytv footie programme broadcast on sundays--think it was against sheff wednesday when we were losing 4-1 with 10 mins to go--ended up 4-4(saw Chilo in Spar at thorngumbald t nite)favourite game was the match at bramhall lane when it was ken Knightons(thought we had 2 Simpkins playing) 1st match along with bill baxter think result was 2-2--this was still when the lane was used for cricket and we seemed miles from pitch---most underated player from that age-mally lord-i could go on
