He keeps repeating it was about the childcare.

CUMMINGS DIDN’T RECEIVE ANY CHILDCARE ASSISTANCE, his entire claim was that his sister and niece left food outside their door. He could have had deliveroo at his own ****ing house.

The simple facts are he didn’t follow the guidance, as he felt he could do what he liked, and the PM has just publicly shown the entire Nation that this unelected goon is the bloke pulling the strings.

What a weak backed, spineless ****.

I think tonights briefing had all the duplicate hallmarks of when Sturgeon faced a barrage of questions from the media over her minister. I wouldn't be surprised if Cummings directed Boris to that time, and how to handle it. Remembering at that time, we weren't to know she was going to resign the next day.

It is so patently nonsense that it's hard to see how anyone thinks this is a good line to argue. Either it was a childcare issue - in which case they got childcare help and breached lockdown - or it wasn't a childcare issue - in which case the entire argument the PM has just given for driving there is nonsense.

Add in all the other people who have made sacrifices during lockdown and the attempted re-interpretation that has been put out and Boris finishing by saying he thinks many people will "understand" the situation just destroys his credibility.

No accountability whatsosever. He can't get childcare or even deliveries of food in London apparently. He travelled with Covid19 to a part of the country barely affected (now very affected by the way).

Insane to try and defend it. Staggering arrogance which will do far more damage to Boris than the original issue.
