yesterday I was out dog walking with my Mrs and bumped into a friend of hers near the shops. I briefly chatted to her and said I was p’d with the government stopping me going to France next month. She replied “don’t you mean Covid is stopping you going”? She is a nurse. It made me think last night that at the end of the day we are in a pandemic something not created by our government... agree there are arguments with the handling but it’s a disease that we didn’t know much about. Its affected the World in different ways. I decided to get back on with life and Not waste all day debating it. Seeing the same countless posts from the same people is boring. Trust me mate don’t be too negative,

It is boring isn't it. Really feel for you that you cant go to france to your holiday home. Many couldn't go to a loved ones funeral!!

I’m training four times a week and reading everything I can get my hands on. I’ll give the garden centre a miss for another 40 years or so if that’s ok.

All I said was that it was a peculiar choice of topic as you don’t post about American politics a lot and it’s hardly the top news item there. Then you went to your father-in-law apparently but not sure what that had to do with anything.

You were probably right and she was wrong though as there may well come a time europeans are moving fairly freely and still seeing us as the last Covid hotspot in Western Europe thanks to our exemplary handling of it.

Why it’s politics? You were all banging on about Trump when it suits you. I remember plenty of posts Re injecting themselves with Dettol. Now because it’s about the other guy it’s not worth debating? Strange that.
It’s like what another poster said and that all roads lead to Coronavirus on here.
The father-in-law comment was that I’m not wasting my life on here and I will be dropping off his shopping.

Do I think he was having a fling with her... probably as he likes the girls. Do I think he gave her preferential treatment for a contract... maybe but like you I don’t have proof.

Not a good look for the Prime Minister of the country though is it ? A strong possibility (some would say probability) that he treated his mistress and her company preferentially.
