And bob... as you are also an expert on politics can you let us know the way forward with the economy including air travel (as I want to go on holiday) and what should we do re restrictions on transport and what funding or bailouts should we give to airports and airlines as my mate works at Gatwick?
Off you go
Let's focus on reducing the deaths and getting shot of this virus first. That's the most important thing to me over a holiday. Some may differ

Again, I’m not pretending to have all the answers so that’s another false narrative you’ve put into your head amongst your windmilling to defend the government. It would be rather worrying if I did and our supposed leading scientists and politicians didn’t.

It would help to give a more informed answer if they weren’t so opaque about their chosen science but it seems incredibly risky to send kids back to school now given our level of infection and opening up anything not absolutely necessary like pubs before September would be an economic rather than a health-led decision and we’ve demonstrated we’re happy to pursue policies we know to be hugely damaging economically so I find it rather hypocritical when people, predominantly right wingers who are capable of working from home or comfortable enough to get by without income for a while expect others to go back immediately into an unsafe environment in the name of saving the economy.

All of this and care homes too is with the context of chasing after a dreadful start brought about by indifference and dithering months ago. No hindsight required to know where we were heading and all with the massive geographical and time advantages we chose to piss away.

You have a go. I’m joking, obviously.
According to various experts, there doesn't seem to be a problem with kids going back to school. To be honest I have seen/heard that many people have broken the guidelines and social distancing anyway. Also, alarming statistics are showing a rise in abuse (at home) and the young getting anxiety and depression problems. We know that just 2 weeks can affect a child's learning and at home, it is not the best environment... they need school. So I would send them back. They are not the 'super carriers' as once thought at the beginning and rarely get the same symptoms. Regarding mixing with grandparents that's the responsibility of the parents, not the government. There was also worrying news yesterday that 500K have accessed the government suicide prevention course in just 3 weeks.

Your comments on 'right-wings' and economy were stupid and I know you don't believe that Watford. You are the one who keeps saying these types are as 'thick as mince' so I guess most won't be working from home anyway? As for those who can afford to stay at home or are comfortable we shouldn't knock them. They have probably worked hard for many years to be in that position. There are some in our state that sponge and don't want to work. They find any excuse not to... we shouldn't compare.

85% of teachers dont think it's safe to return to school. Let the 15% go back and teach the kids whose parents dknt mind them being guinea pigs. That sounds like a plan.

Bobs back! Come on then let me know what we should do as you have been most vocal about cocking up?
First and foremost the government should stop lying to the nation. That's a start and may increase some trust in them. Unfortunately the cock ups have been made. Going forward, I would make sure every work place and school setting passes an HSE covid test, unfortunately nobody is starting that. I would then let you and you alone book a holiday.

What mistakes do you think the government have made Ellers?
bob we did this yesterday. I posted on the other thread before I stopped using it as it was just a bitch fest for people who don't like the government. Other than 1 or 2 posts that got lost it became boring "100K tests" every other post.
I am trying to keep this and my posts to politics.
I am interested in your plan for the economy to move forward?

If you could guarantee the safety of the teachers and other adults then fine. As it stands we are expected to take the government’s word for it after their performance with care homes. Glad I don’t work in a school.

The calls to ‘open up’ are predominantly from right wing media. Not that difficult a concept really. Again you exaggerate and conflate different gammon segments of society to miss the point, intentionally I expect.

What about the economy how do we kick start it?

I've never mentioned Sturgeon in any posts mate. I'm sure you of all people can clarify this. I did mention her a page back but saying I've never mentioned her before though if that helps.

I answered his Sturgeon query - funnily enough he's managed to dodge my replies...

I find it really strange that a Tory supporter wont even dare question a Tory government on its actions. That is total blind loyalty even when theyve ruined his plans for a holiday!
