Are some people that desperate for football to return that they are willing to put lives at risk.
Count me out.
Count me out.
And me. Don't think it's the fans, more like the people and businesses with vested interestsAre some people that desperate for football to return that they are willing to put lives at risk.
Count me out.

Count me out.
People distraught about months without football . Because no KFC . Can’t see relatives and friends for a short time . etc
How about no football for 6 years . All sorts of food off the menu, rationing. Relatives and friends sent away for years , lots never returning at all. etc
How a lot of pathetic Brits would cope with a war I don’t know

Count me out.
Rationing went on until 1955![]()
And even got worse after the war!Rationing went on until 1955![]()

Can't be our fans surely , watching us has people depressedIt's not just that people are desperate, some are willing to take those risks just so it 'cheers them up a bit'.
There were no fatties though?
I was surprised to find out that even on rationing the average calorie intake was greater than the 2500 men and 2000 women regarded as normal today.
To me it proves that most of modern fattiness is simply down to lack of activity and rubbish food quality.
they were encouraged to grow as much home produce as the could so they will have been eating good quality fruit and veg I’m sure they helped too together with the exercise
... and of course , there was much more manual work

Exactly. When me and Mrs EJK were in the process of emigrating back in 2007, there were more than a few people that I worked with who said stuff like “I’d love to do what you’re doing but I’d miss the football too much” and this was the easiest job application I’d ever done, to give me the chance to live in a country where during spring summer and autumn the sun is nearly guaranteed to shine. To own a house with a pool, but no, “I’d miss the football”.People distraught about months without football . Because no KFC . Can’t see relatives and friends for a short time . etc

When I was a kid (born 1949) we still had rationing and my dad and eldest brother had an allotment bigger than penalty area size which includes a pigeon cree and they grew all our vegetables right through till I left home in 1968.they were encouraged to grow as much home produce as the could so they will have been eating good quality fruit and veg I’m sure they helped too together with the exercise
