I have read that only 350 or so under 60s have died from it, even I think we need to start to open things up or we all will be ****ed.

It's under 40's and it's about 400 iirc but I can't be sure. I'm sure it's out there somewhere to check.

Over the full war it was about 478 UK soldiers per day (1568 days in all)

of course it exists........in what capacity compared to other flu`s i dont know but i certainly will never go on official figures which are all over the shop for a reason.

the terror will pass but the dystopian laws will stay..........now that worries me more.........blessed are the fruit praise be.

On the flip side though if our data was relatively positive and we had few excess deaths compared to Germany I dread to think what sort of war rhetoric we’d be seeing.

It’s a fair evaluative point that the data isn’t robust and 100% consistent but it doesn’t write off the main point entirely. It’s also fair that the most important stat is the excess deaths which should mitigate for inconsistency and takes into account the full social effect of the virus. On that metric we are horrific.
