Somebody needs to put the ‘care’ back into care homes.

My brother and his wife are both professional Carers working in care homes and state that their respective organisations are like Fort Knox to get in and out of, however, l feel not all are anywhere near that level.

As we all know, it only takes one person to set off a chain reaction. I think here in Oz, there has just been a couple of new clusters from as such.

If the risk was real, manslaughter would cover it assuming that there was no intent to kill or seriously injure the care home residents. I don't buy into the conspiracy theory that this is a convenient tool to cull those whose economic worth to society is limited. However if the available evidence suggested the risk was unreal and substantial and the decision was made regardless, that might well be gross negligence or recklessness. However as is often the case, a minion scapegoat would be blamed. This will be a good test of the whistleblowing protection laws introduced to protect genuine whistleblowers in the aftermath of the Zeebrugge ferry disaster and other such man-made catastrophes which could have been avoided.

The way the front line of the NHS has been sent into battle with inadequate protection is something I look forward to being fully explored when the investigation is eventually held after the epidemic has been defeated.

You did. Nice one. All joking aside, it really is getting beyond a joke that someone as criminally moronic can have his finger on the biggest nuclear arsenal the world has ever seen and that the people who put him there may well put him back there in 18 months time

Not my president Yorkshire. He was voted in by the people of the US. If they vote him in again that is their democratic choice. Problem is Binden has a history, especially with the Tara Read allegations of sexual harassment and assault. I just wonder how many of those that castigated Trump over the 'locker room' talk will be as vocal with Binden?

Do you really not know his name, or is that one of those 'amusing' joke names you have for people you don't like?

ANYONE flying into the UK will have to quarantine for two weeks: Returning Britons and foreigners will have to self isolate in 'phase two' of coronavirus plan.

I get why it has to reported this way, but it’s a disgusting manipulation of the figures to say we’re on anything like 20000 deaths when it’s around double that.

    News Update in Australia

He in Oz, we have just had some restrictions lifted.
I'm not sure if that's a good thing.
Yes, l want them lifted but think it may be premature.

Here in Queensland, as of next Friday, we can go shopping for non essential things.
We can go for a drive and have a picnic. We can basically do most pre co-vid19 things except .... we must stay within 50 klms of our home address.

My wife & I really have been waiting to visit our daughter and grandkids in Sydney, New South Wales but don't think we'll get over the border without friction.

I still think it premature but they have threaten to pull the rug out from under us if the cases increase dramatically.
    Time will tell l guess.

I get to go back to work on tuesday
Level 3 restrictions for two weeks than they will take another look
I think they should have stayed at level four for at least another week
Better another week or two of lockdown than back to level four
Two weeks away at least from getting a haircut
