The fortunes of a club are dictated by the football side. If we end up going the same way as his previous clubs I don’t imagine we are going to be in sound financial fettle are we?
I don’t imagine Notts County or Boston went from strength to strength financially whilst they were falling down the divisions.

Isn't he the only NE player to have scored a winning goal at Wembley, in a major Cup game, in the last 60 years ...

    ... just a guess.

    Not necessarily.

Man City and Chelsea were doing nothing until huge amounts of money were pumped in.

The football, and crowds, followed the money.

Yes but we aren’t going to be pumped full of money.
Rodwells track record is of being CEO of clubs who get relegated and have points deductions.
If he had a record of being CEO of clubs who were struggling then prospered there would be grounds for optimism. Sadly that isn’t the case.

From memory I don't believe he was CEO of Boston, wasn't implicated in the irregularities and wasn't there when Notts County were relegated.

    Absolutely as you'd imagine tbh.

I met him twice, once by accident and once by design.

He's well practised and appears charming but doesn't leave you feeling he's really genuine.

Did you manage to ask him anything regarding FPP?

The first meeting was before it was first mentioned and the second was too brief.

In fact the second meeting was really messy and too much was going on, too many people there.

I can't imagine the CEO of struggling Scunthorpe would have on the forefront of the Americans mind whilst putting together a takeover plan.

Donald is obviously desperate to stick around and I believe Watkins was brought in by Donald to work with Donald.

It's stupidly obvious we need new owners, he hasn't got the money.

So we need one of 2 things now:

    - Donald announces he's here to stay.

    Or

    - He will 100% sell the club.

All of the smokescreens and sh*t in between need to stop, and some honesty is required.

It's what we deserve, and if it doesn't happen, supporters will become disillusioned and start to drift away from the club.

Left Notts County deep in relegation trouble after seasons of struggle, they eventually were relegated 2 month after his departure.
He was actually chairman of Boston when they had 10 points deducted.
    Quite the CV isn’t it.

Notts County have struggled for decades, before and since Rodwell.

My point is we have brought in a CEO who doesn’t appear to have improved a club in whatever capacity he’s been employed.
    A really underwhelming appointment.

I can't imagine any appointment that wouldn't be underwhelming.

There may be no football again this season, even this year, so I won't be worrying too much about this.

Donald and Methven obviously have enormous faith in their own abilities and the power of their personalities.

That's fair enough tbh and just the kind of people we need, except they don't also have the money, strategy or ability.

They had the benefit of the momentum they naturally inherited and the gift of the enthusiasm of a massive support.

They've lost both of those vital ingredients.

They may believe that their endless statements will be enough to rescue the situation ...

... sadly we're at the stage where they're no longer waving, they're actually drowning.

Sorry, you're just not good enough with or without backing, it's time to go.

Doesn’t look too promising for when it all starts again though which at some point it will.
Also if FPP are still looking to swoop (I find this doubtful, even more so now) I don’t imagine some failure from Boston and Notts County would be top of their list of candidates.
