People surely can't have any complaints. He's just the kind of 'football man' we've wanted and Scunthorpe didn't want to lose him. It shows that our immediate future is safe, he's not the kind to take a flyer. Has a reputation for running a tight ship which is what Short needed, shame that.
That was the first thing that sprung to mind. Either Donald is staying and finally bringing in someone who's the opposite to Methven ... ... or a new buyer is lining up a transition with someone they trust. Another question is why we'd take on significant extra expenditure at a time we're laying staff off.
well bob was correct about the ceo, he is also claiming that our takeover / investment will be announced before the mags
It’s a strange one, I would be happy for Donald to stay aslong as he wasn’t owner and he had the right people beside him, Methven has constantly made things worse for SD,
The only info I'm getting is totally contradictory so pointless to post it. It's sure that Rodwell is the opposite of Methven and much more stable. But his appointment surely indicates a change in direction because its extra expense. That money could be saved, I suppose, from cost cutting. Or it could be that it's a transitional period to enable new people to come in. My guess is that it's a joint agreement with Donald and FPP who wanted Methven out from the start and don't see the point of him. If that's the case it's still a takeover but only under the right circumstances and slower than we'd hoped. A real football man, like Rodwell, would counter the impulsive emotion based Donald and his 'Grigg moments'. It looks like Donald will shunt himself, or be shunted, sideways.
Looking at his CV I hope this is not the appointment of new owners Looks more like a typical SD lower/Non League appointment Very strange timing though
Let’s be honest lads, it’s hardly a suprise appointment (well his footballing statue is) however, Davison and DJ Charlie left their roles, they hadn’t been replaced, hopefully this bloke has nowt to do with football as his CV from Notts County and Scunthorpe is hardly encouraging
Something doesn't sit right with me, we appoint a new CEO or whatever role he has , whilst we've Furloughed a lot of staff.
It appears to be an attempt at a stable working environment rather that the STID roller coaster Donald and Methven have created. If that's a decision by Donald, fair play ... ... if it's a condition of FPP then it's encouraging to a degree.
Methven's mouth has caused nothing but discord ... .... he needs to somehow get over his massive ego and learn to keep it shut.
