Yeah sorry you're right. The club was set up by fans of Chester City based in Mansfield, so it's a bit of a makey-up name like Total Network Solutions or Arsenal. <ok>

The place I was talking about - that I originally thought was Chesterfield - is actually Alfreton. Sorry about that.
 
Can I come too? I'm writing a book about which non-league players can make the step-up into the Premier League.

This book sounds good. When should we expect it in the shops. Will it be available in all major bookstores? Are there zombies involved at any point in this book?
 
I spoke to my local branch of Waterstones and I'll be doing a book signing there when its released, its with the publishers at the moment. Also I met Zinedine Zidane in the bookies the other day and he promised to help promote the book. He also told me about the time he signed for Charlton Athletic but it was the day Alan Pardew got sacked and Phil Parkinson didn't rate him.

2000 copies of the book will also be available in the club store priced £6.99 and for every copy thats sold, £6.99 will go straight back into the club in order to fund Gary Doherty bribing his way into the Ireland sprinting team for London 2012.

Theres some very nice colour photos in it too.

Never heard that story about Zidane signing for us before. Sounds very interesting. Do you have any more details about it?

So there's no zombies in it then? Good. I hate zombies, ever since one of them tried to mug me when I was on my way back from watching Anane and Vaughan for Droylsden. Good players they are. Are they mentioned in your book?
 
I was told that Messi wanted to join us a few years back but he couldn't get the hang of the long ball game so Mr Parkinson didn't want him (he loaned Mooney instead). When I heard I did offer to pay Messi's salary from my pocket money but didn't get an answer from the Club. I think he then went off to re-sign for a Spainish Club?

He told me there's a picture of him wearing a Charlton shirt, and also one of him headbutting a full-size model of Simon Jordan but they're very rare.

Yes, Anane and Vaughan are both mentioned, I think they could both be England internationals in the next two years.

How about a website about 'ghosts which haunt old stadiums'. Or better yet 'ghosts which haunt old stadiums during non-league games, scouting for player Charlton can sign'?
 
Great call Super, I met Rolf Harris in Greenwich Park with his wife last week (very hot totty indeed) and he told me he's currently in talks to take-over Welling United with a mystery backer (heard rumours it might be Cheryl Cole), but when he's done with all that I'll give him a call and he can help us get the book distributed.
