If its one of the red tops who will be running the story, apparently there is going to be photo evidence of abuse as well. How credible is anyone's guess at this stage.

Yep. Hence my unfortunate timing regarding football news comment.
People want to get away from Covid19, any story will be bigger.
And Yan's disappearance has been the cause of debate for quite some time.

    Twitter is brutal.
I feel like I'm six years old again, and just witnessed the Antelope getting dragged to the ground by a Lion. Then the others come over and finish it. Grim.
Whatever the story, hope she finds solace somewhere.

    I shouldn't laugh in this situation but that's a brilliant analogy <laugh>

Couldn't agree more too, had a little look through the comments earlier and and was a depressing read. Sad situation with no winners.

People are, in the main, idiots.

Life is never black and white, it is always a shade of grey.

To slander and slate a young lad, with little to no evidence is ridiculous. People on social media never put themselves in others shoes and it Is really sad.

    ^^^This

It may be true, it may be false. It may be a little true. But, there is always more than one side to a story and life is in general grey*

*Not in my house as Amazon delivered the hair dye yesterday.

EDIT: However if true there is no real defence may I add.

Sorry, forgot it was you that posted it originally, so no offence intended, but these things take on a life of their own and people start stating their condemnation of it “if there’s any truth in it” and the **** starts to stick even though it could be wholly malicious

You’ll never catch me on social media <laugh>

Liverpool forward Sadio Mane could be open to a move to Real Madrid, says Senegal team-mate Keita Balde, who added that Mane, 28, was unlikely to remain at Anfield "forever". (AS - in Spanish)

Can we get this thread to the happy saints bubble it was before?

This was my sanctuary from Coronavirus

Mods: Maybe a separate thread for the Yan issue?

So what is this Valery thing? The link @Libby posted doesn’t work.

Judging by the comments I assume he has eaten a baby?

Someone has made an allegation that he spiked her with an abortion pill when she was 20 weeks gone. The baby died not long after birth due to this allegedly.

    Oh, was expecting worse.

Sounds like bollocks, why not just pay a bit of cash and never see the kid like a normal person would do? Not like he can’t afford it

I just had a heart warming call from one of the disabled guys I see at St Mary's. It was difficult to understand all of it but the gist of the call was that he is missing seeing all his friends at football and he hopes everyone is being sensible and staying at home. I asked him if he was missing the matches and his answer was "Not much of the football because we usually loose, but I miss the chips and hot dog."

I reminded him that since we last saw each other, Saints haven't lost a match so at least that is something to be happy about. I gathered he wasn't all that impressed by that but he did say he thought Saints would be winning all their remaining matches "Because the players have had a nice long rest". Made my day that has.

The chips and hotdog made me think of a young man, with learning difficulties, I used to care for in the Leicester area.
His family are fans of egg chasing, so every Saturday he would be watching his brother play.
One weekend there was no rugby, so I suggested taking him to the King Power stadium.
He showed a passing interest in the game, and the crowd, although the loud cheers sometimes made him jump, but he totally lost interest when someone else in the wheelchair enclosure turned up with a foot long hotdog.
Game was over for him. All he did was watch the lad eat the hotdog, saying that he wanted one, which he got at half time.
Priorities are different for all of us, I guess.

I think its rather amazing that there are so many transfer stories in the press at the moment bearing in mind how short of cash most clubs will be following this CV19 crisis. Where do the press think clubs are going to get their money from for the summer splurge?
