In the ITU wards you’ve no chance of social distancing. The paediatric ITU in Southampton normally a 9 bed unit now a 28 bed ITU. It’s common practice now that Covid patients are pronned that means turning the patient into their stomachs, that procedure can take around six people all next to each other, all in PPE this process can take over half an hour each turn.
I was referring to the people clapping outside the hospitals. Watched Ross Kemps documentary earlier, nurses and doctors were all on top of each other because the ICU are now over crowded.
Games will be behind closed doors etc. Probably use the likes of the Gnoll, Brewery Field and Sardis Road to play their games. Can't see any international games until at least February. The Autumn internationals are meaningless for the unions without crowds as they won't get any financial return from them so the Millennium shouldn't be an issue for a while.
Just on the news now, that the government is now setting up a covid-19 vaccine task force, talk about ponderous! Anyway, they are also expecting a second wave from this virus?..............
I’m told for a mate that works in the IT for NHS Wales and the Welsh Government thinks it’s going to be with us for about 18 months and they think a vaccine won’t be ready until next year. Let’s hope they are wrong.
And yet a Virologist from Cambridge has said her team will have one ready by September? This shows there is not a coordinated strategy in place, so inefficient when lives are at stake...................
If anyone is interested in the Covid-19 subject there is a really good article from one of our leading Virologists Dr Jane Greatorex................ Link: https://www.cambridgeindependent.co...we-know-and-dont-know-about-covid-19-9104220/
