Yes but that would require knowing you have the virus which means being tested.

The problem as you say is that a lot of ppl who wear masks do so with some misguided notion it's for protection. Those that have had the virus may be thinking it's unnecessary and those that have the virus currently may not even know they have it. There's no clear message on it either, unfortunately.

 

Well yes, testing is key.

Having now read last nights posts though, I realise that the WHO mantra of ‘test, test, test’ and the nations who’ve tested rigorously, traced and isolated have come out of this by far the least affected, was trumped by a bloke from Oldham who works on forklifts.

Cheers. So for someone such as myself who believes, that I've not had the virus, until a test proves one way or another, but let's assume a test confirmed I haven't had the virus, would I fall into a category, at risk of catching the virus and unknown affects of doing so - therefore would I have to remain in lockdown or be free to roam once it's lifted. It's so confusing.

 

Firstly, the only way of finding out if you’ve had the virus, is by testing to see if you’ve got the antibodies in your system that see off CV-19. That antibody test doesn’t yet exist (the Govt bought 18m of them, but they errrrmmm, don’t work) Once a reliable test is produced then mass testing across the population would be a game changer.

For anyone who hasn’t had it, and is vulnerable, then the risk of infection and it’s outcome, remains the same. This only dramatically changes when there’s either a vaccine, or when the majority of the population have already had it, and so it’s means of transferring across the population becomes much less.

Trump is desperate to see things open back up, shame he didn’t seem to understand it’s not his call the other day, when he made the mistake of thinking he’s a dictator. He’ll start calling out individual Governers soon, if they don’t choose to open up in the timescale he demands, no doubt accusing them of trying to sabotage his re-election, as it’s all about him obvs.

 

I saw an interview earlier today, where they was discussing the need for fruit pickers, obviously it was mentioned where they were talking of flying in Eastern Europeans. It's the soft fruit season, so i'm guessing stuff like Strawberries etc. There was talk of allowing furlough employees, being able to earn additional income if they wanted to do it, on top of their 80%, as long has their employers had no objections, thoughts?

I know some people are desperate to get out the family home, probably a good alternative for those that fancy it.
