The government took advice from leading scientists and the chief medical officer. Maybe it’s them who should be held to account?

This is unprecedented and our PM has nearly lost his life leading from the front. There’s a great big clamour from Labour supporters to make a big deal out of this. They could all at least wait until people have finished dying from the pandemic.

Or maybe they’re trying to divert from the big news that Kier Starmer was head of the CPS when they failed to prosecute Jimmy Saville?

Surely it makes more sense to analyse the government's rule as it's happening than just to see what the end result was? Especially when it comes to an opposition party as that is literally their job.

I do not understand the rationale that we should refrain from having an opinion about the government because there is a crisis. It's nonsensical.

There's plenty to answer for the scientists and experts as well. I'd want to know why they were chosen ahead of other experts, and why they differed in view to people like the WHO.

Countless chances were missed to prosecute saville owa the years not just starmer

Why was saville given a knighthood by that bitch when she was warned about him

Thatcher had a word in her ear from somebody about Saville, apparently.

Starmer had hard evidence in front of him. Decided not to prosecute and then after Saville died he admitted failings on his part.

Protect your children. Vote Conservative.

It seems that the leader of the free world is has completely lost the plot over all of this. His actions in any normal persons would be seen as some kind of personality disorder.

His latest decision is to insist that every benefit cheque that goes out to the American people needs to have his signature on it (even though he can't legally sign them). So he's prepared to slow down the process just so he can show people "what Trump did for them"...

Though I'm not even sure that comes close to his propaganda video the day before. Then of course there's the funding he's removing from the W.H.O in the middle of a pandemic.

The man is trying to deflect blame as much as possible after spending the whole of February saying everything will be fine and the Democrats are just using this as a hoax to get him.

We all know that people lie and governments often mislead or conceal the truth. But Trump is beyond that. I think he's actually delusional and believes it.

Even more worrying than all of this is that the citizens of the USA may very well re-elect him in the near future.

It says a lot about the 'American Values'.

... as long as someone's 'a bit of a character' people will lap up their drivel.

I don't think I've ever heard anything really witty from Holloway, Tuffnel or their ilk but some people swear that they're hilarious.

I fully expect to see Ant or Dec in 10 Downing Street before long ...

I suggest you email the barrister Kier Starmer with your hard evidence of this alleged happening. As a barrister I presume he would have no problem taking this up in a court of law with you, potentially for libel. :emoticon-0136-giggl

There's been a lot of talk about the difficulties faced by third world countries, and others around the world, during this crisis.

I know of one country where nurses, doctors and other staff have been dying through treating infected patients without protective clothing, housewives have been making masks for care workers in their kitchens and pensioners are reduced to raising money for their own health service.

Thank heavens England isn't in that position <doh>
