What I don’t get is why is Ashley lending PCP money?
He’s not lending them it i don’t think. Its a gauruntee for the £150m he is owed via his DLA. Effectively they are paying £150m up front and the balance is owed at a later date? Which is classed as a loan in the eyes of the law but it’s actually a guarantee.

My guess and it is a guess but based on logic would seem to be that the Club has been bought and that the “Charge” is to do with Ashley’s loan which we don’t seem to be paying off for some reason but transferring the loan from current owners of Club to new owners of the Club.

But I could be miles off.

<laugh>
That’s exactly what I think.

Knowing our luck, the PL will reject it after carrying out the checks<doh>

I’m being pessimistic so if it actually happens, it feels better. Bit like how I am with the missus, when it happens at unexpected times, I’m a happier man.

Do the right thing, Ashley.
I’m thinking that it is a timing thing regarding paperwork but the premier league must have indicated that it’s all ok. Thus the movement today. It wouldn’t have happened if there was any indication of it being rejected.

Also given the potential of investment for the premier league (double standards disclaimer right here) the premier league stand to lose a fortune with other companies going bust or financially strapped. So what better way of ensuring premier league income streams than to have the wealthiest family in the world an asset and owner of Nufc.

So - what’s the clinching proof that means you’re going to crack that first can?

I don’t mean the ones we’re all drinking right now to calm the nerves. I mean the first celebratory one?

For me it’s a statement from Staveley that she owns the club. Won’t believe it until then.
