I stopped eating meat from supermarkets around 5 years ago. My missus is vegetarian, so we tend to make veggie meals at home most of the time. But I do eat meat and I get it locally from friends that I work alongside with in my own food business. I get beef and pork from a friend whose animals are grass fed up on the cliffs near where I live, it's absolutely top quality. I also buy game meat from another mate, so sometimes have pheasant or venison.

We both eat fish, and I can get that straight from the boat from a choice of fishermen. Some lovely Pollack in at the moment :)

Point being, that I know where that food has come from and how the animals have lived. The mass produced stuff is poor quality and simply isn't worth buying.

I have said before now that we try to get our meat from the butchers . Pay a little more , get a little less , but the flavour and quality kicks any other stuff right out of the park “

Just hope The one I use keeps going .

Now that's what you should be doing dude... If you like meat eat animals that has been treated well.

Good man for thinking and respecting animals and yourselfs health

It just makes sense. When you see the ****e that goes on in the meat industry it's pretty ****ing horrendous.

I work alongside other small producers, so I've got access to to it all. It isn't any more expensive that the stuff you buy in supermarkets. Especially fish, I've got a Pollack which I'll cook for dinner tomorrow. Matey charged me £2 for it.
