... I don't doubt that ... but we are often quick to cast doubt on "official' figures from China or Russia whilst 'trusting' that what we get fed by our own government is always accurate and not manipulated ...

Here is the thing ... the population of Wuhan is around 11 million ... London is 9 million ... they reacted to the initial outbreak much quicker than we did in terms of building a dedicated hospital and introducing total lockdown ... so if 42k have really died there then we are destined for at least that many and just in our capital city ... they were also a lot quicker with ventilators and PPE ...

 

I'm certain that there will be plenty here that dont die in hospital that wont be counted in the official figures !
Probably in the 1000s not hundreds

Genuine question ... how on earth can Wigan have 11 million people?
London in the most populated city in the UK.

 

Think Wigan is about the 100k mark.

 

Wuhan makes nicer pies though.
