    Give us a clue Woody.

Haven’t looked at it properly but it looks as though deaths for the last available week are about 10% higher than the 5 year average and that this is at least partly, possibly entirely, attributable to COVID19. 1,000 extra deaths. Quite a bit more than that last week and this week I’m guessing, but if, as expected, next week is the peak, we might get away with 20,000 or less ‘additional’ deaths over the period. And of course these could be offset by lower numbers of deaths later in the year, as those who would have died anyway were done by the virus.

I don’t think we will know for quite some time, but these stats are much more interesting than the numbers infected/numbers dead stuff we get daily.

    Is that it?

Fair to say we’ll be down on regular flu deaths due to the social distancing too so those figures aren’t as bad as the reality.

Was it you, after you threw your toys out of the pram (again) when Jezza lost?

oh typical traits of an attention seeker? Watch out the toys will come flying out for attention.

No Ellers.......I told you before, I came off it because I was having some really dark thoughts about stuff.....all about MH and anger issues.
You acknowledged that I thought ?

So basically they are saying that so far we are 1000 deaths worse off than last year?

Staines, I will defend my corner as much as anyone and sometimes on that thread, I will rub people up the wrong way ... However, I seem to remember someone apologising about the way they were acting... It wasn't me.
I also remember some off the nasty comments that came my way.

Staines, I like this little game. Does this person often ask/demand apologies for no apparent or logical reason? I think I'm getting close!

I didn’t cover myself in glory for sure.....but at least I can admit that.....you I’m afraid can’t and have now brought some of your ways on to this thread (as prompted my original post).Anyway, we should go back to ignoring each other.....my bad.

I’ll say no more mate.....I’ve made my point (maybe in a childish and infantile way).
    Apologies to all

Dont think you actually needed to make the point to be fair. If my guess is correct then everyone knows the score and how it usually pans out. It becomes a tedious, repetitive debate.

Anyway, back to coronavirus. I have a feeling that we could end up as one of the worst affected European countries from all this due to our dilly dally approach

I don't mind these attacks. It actually tells me more about the poster. You can get so much information about a person from a simple 'like'.
