I even looked on youtube to see if any of them prompted my memory and none did. Normally with Ads, they use music to get your attention, and I've a pretty good memory for various harmony's, so I reckon your right, that there wasn't much TV advertising.

Now you've mentioned it, I remember all the advertising on F1 cars. They also tried to get around the ban at first by just using the colour logos. JPS were quite big along with Marlboro, the only other big brand cigarette I remember was No.6, don't know what happened to them (No.6), whether they rebranded.
I dont remember the adverts but remember all the other ways they where advitised .
My grandma used to collect the vouchers in them !
The Cigar tv ads continued into the 80s thou !

Furloughed as of Mon 6th so wan't sure what to expect. Cheers <ok>
If it’s going to leave you a bit short, and you pay your council tax monthly, ring the council and they’ll move your April and May payment to the last 2 months of the ‘21 tax year - as council tax payments are over 10 months. As far as I’m aware they’re not openly publicising this, but I know they’re offering it.

Maybe they could open to staff only and sell on the internet

That’s basically what some are doing but they won’t sell nearly as much stock. And loads of bigger commercial jobs will have been cancelled so bulk buying will be a lot lower.

Everyone should get online and get buying plants!

More deaths itself than a lot of nations. As many cases as Italy <yikes>

America are definitely going to end up the worst hit by this.
I know we’re not allowed to criticise Trump but what he did was criminal. Hoax? Stupid ****.

I don't see why he shouldn't be criticised, the guy is a dangerous lunatic, and still people hang on his every word. It would probably do the world a favour if the virus took his life, but we won't be so lucky. The only way the US will wake up is when the Ameican public see the convoy of refrigerated lorries carting the dead to their last resting place.

That's nowt to do with politics, it's just plain stupidity. I love to show some of these idiots the video footage that came out of Italy, maybe then it might knock some sense into their heads. The biggest problem with all this is because lockdown keeps the death toll down, the low numbers to some people, just gives them opportunity to play lip service to that word, the 'flu.'

I've seen people today, it's fooking obvious to even Stevie Wonder, that they are not abiding by the government guidelines, it's the same old story, the only time they will wake up is when they lose a loved one.

Yeah...that was my third attempt.Every now and then i dream about starting again<laugh>

Third attempt is not bad at all <ok>

The best advice I can give anyone is give up and don't be afraid to restart again. Every day inbetween without a cig can only be a good thing and it's always the thought of not having another puff that gets you clucking. So don't worry about it, you can always quit again... eventually you're not bothered about smoking again.

I'd give up for a month, a week, a year, a couple of months, a couple of days and so on. At some point I realised it didn't matter if I restarted and I gave up for good. That was 11 years ago. But prior to that I'd been 'giving up' for 6/7 years.

It wouldn't because "America **** yeah" is a national attitude and drummed into them from birth.

Spoke to my dad today. He’s 76 in a few weeks. He’s staying home apart from going out for essentials. He said he went to M&S the other day as he wanted a pork pie but it was only one of those small M&S shops. For the past 40 years we’ve been told to stay away from him if we have any symptoms of a cold as he hates being ill.

He’s only doing this as he refuses to be told what to do. I’ve got to the point where I don’t even want to speak to him as I was brought up to be respectful and polite to my folks so “stop being a ****, you could kill my mum because you’re a ****ing stubborn idiot” would be new.
