I hope to see footballers/ sportspersons and some members of the public give up spitting and clearing their noses all over the place. Kids watch this on tv and think it’s the norm.
As much as I don't want it to be this way, I think after about 8/12 months....everything and everyone will be back to how it was before. Everyone will claim to be changed etc etc but it won't last. Unemployment will go up once the government help stops, prices will go up once government help stops and once government help stops, taxes will go up to pay for all the help the government has given out during all this.
I hope I'm wrong.
As was Income taxNational insurance was brought in after the war as a temporary measure and its still here in 2020.
As was Income tax
"Income tax was introduced into Great Britain by Prime Minister William Pitt the Younger in his budget of December 1798, to pay for weapons and equipment for the French Revolutionary War. Pitt's new graduated (progressive) income tax began at a levy of 2 old pence in the pound (1/120) on incomes over £60 (equivalent to £6,400 in 2019),[7] and increased up to a maximum of 2 shillings in the pound (10%) on incomes of over £200. Pitt hoped that the new income tax would raise £10 million a year, but actual receipts for 1799 totalled only a little over £6 million.
Pitt's income tax was levied from 1799 to 1802, when it was abolished by Henry Addington during the Peace of Amiens. Addington had taken over as prime minister in 1801, after Pitt's resignation over Catholic Emancipation. The income tax was reintroduced by Addington in 1803 when hostilities with France recommenced, but it was again abolished in 1816, one year after the Battle of Waterloo."

William Pitt the Youngest?Funny bloke he was. Known as three bottle Billie due to his love of port. He wasn't too keen on getting intimate with women, which led to the obvious bits of speculation.
My view is he wary because he was confused on what his son could possibly be called. William Pitt the even younger?
They wouldn’t need to rise for any of us though...When taxes do rise to pay the money back, expect them to stay that way permanently.

William Pitt the Youngest?
...doesn’t leave much room for naming the Grandkids though
Nah, it's got to be Billie the Kid.
And then will come Billie the Kids Kid.
That is so true!,How long will it be before it's acceptable to cough and sneeze in public?
I used to cough to cover my farts, now I fart to cover my cough.
I think I’ll be done with football. Definitely cancelling all my Sky sports.
The greed in the game has increased beyond all decency but this last fee weeks have highlighted just how messed up it is.
IMO.
Me and Mrs A watched this on Saturday. First time I'd seen it since (1982) my student days when we 'rented' one of those new video machines for a week. We had the choice of some tapes with the offer, one was The Holy Grail. Over a weekend influenced massively by many various substances, we repeatedly watched it. We belly laughed all weekend, seeing hilarious things in the background which you'd only see if you watched it a dozen times ( and probably stoned). You must log in or register to see media
Just watched the news to find that the likes of Newcastle and Spurs are going to apply for government aid to pay their backroom staff. The ****ing money in football is obscene and the greedy ****s who play it are a disgrace.
