Nice to hear some good news JB
The success of the operation is very good news, not so good that we haven't been able to go and see her and won't be able to for as long as this lockdown is on. When people are suffering in many different ways atm, it doesn't even make the scale but it's hard for us. We waited 10 years for her to arrive, what's a few weeks/months......

Thank you for the concern mate, I'm fine, stressed to the max but coping and my granddaughter's heart operation went well and she is now home. One day at a time.....

(Not sure if you conflated me and garlic btw whose daughter has a heart condition that requires medication making her vulnerable to this virus.)

Hope you and yours are doing as well as you possibly can.<ok>
I have a mate who had a heart transplant
He been to the transplant games and everything
He came to Florida with us last year and he has basically just had his toilet works put back together after quite a while in a bag
The stuff they can do now is nothing short of miraculous
He is also in total lockdown due to just having that recent op
Have you been able to what’s app or face time ?
All sounds very positive though
Hope garlic family doing well too :) is someone in touch with garlic ?

Unfortunately my youngest daughter has been diagnosed as having COVID-19. She is isolating in her bedroom and at present has no breathing difficulties, but has the rest of the symptoms. We think she caught it in Leeds before I collected her last Friday as she started coughing on Monday of this week. One of her colleagues in the lab has just been discharged from hospital after he was taken in last week, she did not know this as she had been working from home for about a week before I collected her as the University had identified her as high risk due to her suppressed immune response.

Fingers crossed she can fight it off!

We've been doing facetime every few days. With what others are going through, can't complain about not being able to go out. We've got our bit of light at the end of the tunnel, let's hope others going through their hard times get theirs. Hope your mate stays safe.

Garlic, thoughts are with you and your family that you get through this and out the other side.

Just watched Gary Neville's soccer box with Michael owen, I'd forgotten quite how good he was for us and listening to him he obviously wanted to come back to liverpool.

Hes still a smarmy little prick but my attitude to him has softened somewhat, I think it bothers him that hes not remembered In the same way as Fowler, or even Torres and Suarez.

I'm sure she'll be fine mate. How come she's immuno-suppressed? What degree is she doing?

She suffers from Ventriculla Standstill, came on about 2 yrs ago no problems before that.

She completed her Masters in Pharmacology last year and is now doing a PHD in Neuroscience specialising in Dementia/Alzheimers, she is looking into gene type fixes.

Unsure why she's immuno-suppressed for that condition?

Tell her to get in touch with me when she's finished her PhD, if I'm still on this planet <laugh>

What a couple of muppets <laugh>

“There’s no logic to scrapping this season and trying to start the next one normally” “what if the pandemic comes back? Will we scrap next season as well?”

Yes. Yes we will.

I get it, Liverpool fans want this season to resume so you can win the title. It’s understandable when you’ve not won the league for 30 years and you’re obviously the best team this season and practically guaranteed to win it.

But if next season can go on as normal and be done in time for the euros and olympics to go ahead that is far more of a return to normality than trying to cram in the rest of this season after a long break with changed teams, no match fitness etc... The reality is this season is ****ed, it’s gone tits up already and even if it resumes it won’t be like a proper season. It’s **** for teams like Liverpool and Leeds and lucky for the relegation threatened teams. That’s life.

There's a thread on the PL board if you want to discuss arrangements for the season.

I was just responding to your video... which is also about arrangements for the season. Didn’t make it far enough through to get to the Dembele bit!

Most fans of all teams who make videos to go online are muppets. We’ve got plenty at AFTV <laugh>

If the season continues we’ve got an outside chance of getting fifth for a CL spot and the chance to go for the FA Cup. If it’s cancelled we get a CL spot and no chance at a cup.

Probably better for it to be cancelled for us but if it’s played we have a chance at a better ending (however likely or unlikely) so I’m good either way. It’s be nice to have some football to watch while stuck indoors tbh!
