John Hopkins University in the US has been one of the leading centres in tracking the spread of the epidemic and modelling, sharing maps etc on line. Unfortunately some bastards have put out a fake version of its website containing malware, so beware.

Unbelievable isnt it!

Maybe. Just seemed a bit sneaky on our part and possibly dangerous to make out some sort of corner had already been turned.
I don't think the government would do that. Besides no one is saying we have turned a corner? They have been clear that the death rate will increase in the next 2 weeks. I think the lovely Kate needs to get a few more of the 'Breaking News" whooshes for SkyNews.
I listened to one of the doctor bods yesterday talking about the high fatality rate in one of the hospitals in the London area. He confirmed something similar and something to do with 4 hospitals being connected. He didn't say it was for anything sinister.
Maybe the Tories want to cover up the number of deaths over Brexit or NHS cuts... Maybe all those fab Doctors are part of a conspiracy... you never know?

Ok then.

Found this interesting explaining why Spain is in such crisis...….it is originally sourced from The Guardian......

It is one of the darkest and most dramatic moments in recent Spanish history. In the chilling table of daily dead from the coronavirus pandemic, Spain has taken top position from Italy - with 738 dying over 24 hours.

Spain is now the hotspot of the global pandemic, a ghoulish title that has been passed from country to country over four months – starting in Wuhan, China, and travelling via Iran and Italy. As it moves west, we do not know who will be next.

What went wrong? Spain had seen what happened in China and Iran. It also has Italy nearby, just 400 miles across the Mediterranean and an example of how the virus can spread rapidly and viciously inside Europe.

That's a worry for Liverpool isnt it?

I said on the night of the match it was lunacy with Madrid already announcing a lockdown. We still have flights from all the hotspots landing regularly with no checks, an open goal so to speak...
Agree I found that strange that they let 4K Spanish supporters over... I doubt many would have mingled with the scousers though.

I can't do the emoji thing of slapping my face -
You Sir, are a clown who now officially writes for comic effect.
Those 3000 Madrilenos did not pass through customs, did not have anything to eat that day, or drink. They did not take any form of transportation from airport or port of train station. They simply went to and from the match.

I suppose you think it was a f...iing spiffing idea to allow Cheltenham to go ahead as well!!!

Danish don't lose your bacon. I actually should have said that it would have been minimal contact although after I thought about the ones that would have stayed. As for Cheltenham... WTF you on about?

Johnson said two weeks ago that the antibody tests were pretty much ready. Where are they?

If this analysis is correct most of us are safe to go to work.
I think they said yesterday that they pretty much were but needed to check things..."A bad test is worse than no test". I just listen to the 2 medical bods next to him TBH. Boris just wants to keep the spirits up. He really doesn't have the same knowledge as them... I think sometimes he says too much... but thats Bojo.

Thousands of people from across Ireland and England meeting up for a race meeting in march doesn't seem such a great idea
